"Another Shadowhunter was found Dead last night in Williamsburg.this time murdered by a warlock."the inquisitor speaks looking out at everyone.

 she was giving a speach infront of the whole insitue, it was the following day and someone else had been killed alredy.

" maybe we should call magnus" i whisper to alec who is standing next tome, he looks down and nods making me look back towards the inquisitor at the top of the stairs,

"In this time of crisis, it is essential that we maintain strong leadership. That is why I am naming. Jace Herondale Head of the Institute, effective upon my departure to Idris. Dismissed."she speaks looking out at evryine before geusting to jace who is stood just a step down from her.

 everyones eyes move to jace,before they all wal away, our small groupd stays where we are before jace comes walking over.

"Let's not make a big deal about this. She's still in charge until she leaves."jace speaks seriously looking between us all.

"Still! Being appointed Head of the Institute and finding out you're a Herondale?"izzy questions looking at him with a large grin on her face.

"Don't let it get to your head."izzy speaks pucnhing him in the arm laughing making jace lightly chuckel back;.

"So Herondales are what, like the Kennedys of the Shadow World?"clary questions as everyone turns and starts to walk over to a table in  the main room.

" It's an old Shadowhunter family."alec explains simply walking around the table nodding his head.

" Like the Lightwoods?" i question making alec nod back.

"But we are the Kennedys."izzy speaks smirking looking at clary making her smile back.

" Let's focus on what matters. The Inquisitor would like us to reach out to our allies, to see what they know. At this point, she considers all Downworlders suspects."jace speaks seriously making me look at him frowning.

" That's casting a pretty broad net." izzy scoffs looking at him frowning,

" She can't possibly think any of our friends did this."i say looking at him also frowning.

" Yeah, well, we'll prove that to her." jace explains nodding his head.

"Since Luke's DNA cleared him, we should collect samples from all of our friends to clear them as well. I'll make an Institute-wide announcement. " jace explainsbefore tapping on the desk.

"I'll go talk to Simon." clary speaks before she walks off.

" Great. I'll go see Raphael." izzy speaks going to leave.

" No. " alec's voice speaks, his tone instantly making me  look at him .

"Why not?"jace questions looking at them both confused seeing the nervous look on izzy's face."Am I missing something here"jace questions looking between us all confused.

"Jace-" alec goes to step but izzy cuts him off.

"I'm a Yin Fen addict." izzy speaks quickly making jace look at her scoffing.

" Excuse me?" he questions looking at her with wide surpised eyes.

"It's a long story, but I'm better now. Not perfect, but better." izzy explains to him sighing before looking at alec" Definitely good enough to hunt down whoever's murdered our people."she speaks seriously looking at alec making him sigh and nod back.

"OK. We'll take all the help we can get. Just report back with any leads, OK?" jace explains to her making her nod back before jace walks off too.

"I'm going with you. " alec speaks seriously looking at her.
