chapter 39

im really sorry but something big happens to gracie in this chapter. the next chapter will contain a little bit of an explaination to why i choose to do this and what it now means for her and the rest of the plot.

gracies pov:

as i lay there clutching onto my heart all i can think about is them.

all i can think about is the fact that i love them...i said it...i actually love them....

they mean they whole world to me and i know how much its gonna hurt when i die.... not just for them but for me.

i dont know what comes after death...but i know its going to be lonely without them...

the pain starts to fade and my vison begins to go.

and then everything finally goes back.

the finally thing i hear is the sound of simons fangs plunging deep into the side of my neck before everhting finally went dark.

no ones pov:(gracies not in the rest of this chapter but she is mentioned)

izzy and raphel lay on the sofa in his apartment.

with his fangs burried deep into her wrist, she has her head thrown back against his shoulder, maoning in complete pleasure as he drinks her blood.

 the sound of the front door being burst open and one of the guards dropping dead makes raphel pull away and look behind him.

a really really angry looking alec, storms into the room.

"alec?" izzy questions confused her head dizzy and light still.

" You stay the hell away from her!" alec screams pojting at raphel making raphle stand up hodking his hands out.

"You don't understand. It was Aldertree who got her addicted to yin fen."raphle speaks looking at aec as he walks towqrda him.

"What? It's the truth. I was only trying to help."raphle explians sriously looking at alec who is fuming.

his girlfriend could be dead for all he knows and his sister is a dru adddict.

 hes not doing to well.

to make it worse gracie had said she loved him ad magnus and he didnt even get to stay it back before she was gone.

"By drinking her blood?"alec screams at him before punching him in the face.

"It may have started with the blood, but it's more complicated than that, all right? "raphle gasps hodling the side of his face.

"I care about her." he grunts as alec grabs a hold of bhis jacket.

"What did you say?" alec huffs looking at raphle frowning.

" I...I have feelings for her."raphel speaks out of breath.

sudden;y alec punches him forcing raphel onto the floor.

climbing on top of him ignoring the sounds of izzy weaky calling for them both to stop.

alec takes all of his fustration out on raphels face.

with hus knuckles covered in blood he pictures the women who looks gracie away from him. he pictures aldertrees face for giving izzy the yin fen in the forst place.

suddnely magnus comes running into the room using his magic instantly on alec. the moment alec brings his arm uyp to swing and punch raphel again magnus holds his hand using his magic.

"Alec, stop!"magnus shouts at him, his voice loud and stern.

like not just the type of stern as if you want him to do something...im talking like dominate type of stern too.

at the tone in his voice alec looks over his shoulder at magnus with wide eyes.

hes never heard him sound like that before.

magnus uses his magic to slide alec away from the vapire.

alec huffs and pushes himself up onto his feet before walking and standing nose to nose with magnus.

"never speak to me like that again" alec whispers looking at magnus with a serious look on his face.magnus just stares straight at him before alec takes a step back and angirly sighs."This is my family! If you had told me about the yin fen, none of this would have happened!"alec shouts looking at agnus making magnus shake his head and sigh.

!"I didn't know"magn us sighs looking at his only remaining lover.

"  You knew enough."alec huffs looking at magnus before looking at his sister who is weakly holding onto the sofa." We're leaving." alec huffs before grabbing izzys arm pulling her out of the room.

"I wasn't lying about what I said." raphel speaknd up. pushing himself to stand up." theres something about her" he spe aks out of breath as he looks at magnus.

" your so hooked on her blood you can seppearete your feeling frokm your addiction" magnus explains to him turning his cheek to look at his cut.

"isabelle and i are no different from you and alec and gracie"raphel snaps looking at magnus making magnus sigh

"lets see if your still saying that when your not high"he mytters before truning around and walking out of the room.

alec walks down the ahllway dragging izzy with him.

" let go alec im staying, im staying.!"izzy tells him trying to stop alec from tugging on her arm.

"Izzy, come on! "alec huffs with tears in his eyes, everything suddnely becoming to much for him.

"know you think you're trying to make things right, but you're not. Raphael's been there for me when I needed him. "izzy speaks lookinga t alec with a serious look in her eye. her voice slurred still and her eyes dilated.

shes still high.

"Needed him?  Look at yourself."alec scoffs looking at her and her dishevled appearence.

"He saved my life. You didn't even notice when something was wrong."izzy says looking at him shaking her head.

"Saved your life? What are you-alec questions ahking his head this time 

"I'm not your baby sister anymore, Alec. Just go!"izzy tells him annoyed making alec look at her frowning." I don't need your help." she speaks her teone dropping.

"Izzy, please." alec mutters a tear rolling down his cheek.

"I said go." she tells him looking at him with a cold face.

"Fine."alec whispers before turning around and walking away leaving izzy stood in the hallway.

izzy may have not needed alec but right now alec needs izzy and she isnt here. she isnt here because she high and that breaks his heart.

 he doesjeven have gracie to be sensitive with anymore.

veryone knows him as this hard anscarstic person whio seroiusoly doesnt care...a work a  holic who would do anything for the insitue,

but in realty he probably cares about everyone so much more,
