i go back to my room changing into the skirt once again since im not getting to train anymore and i grab alec's jacket to hide the rune on my arm.

 i have a feeling if he saw he would get a little bit annoyed.

me and him stand outside the room leaning on the walls waiting for lydia to call magnus.

"so." alec speaks making me sigh.

"so" i mutter looking forwards.

"magnus in coming." he says making me look at him and nod.

"okay? and what?" i ask rudely pushing myself off the wall.

"whats wrong?" he speaks harshly pushing himelf off the wall aswell.

"whats wrong alec? your parents hate me. the whole shadowhunter world hate's me. i cant help you guys with valentine if i act like im 3 all the time." i tell him rolling my eyes. he just stares at me as i huff."i mean come on alec..ive been kidnapped and it didnt phase me.ive seen demons and werewolfs and vampires and everytime i just regress." i say shaking my head." i cant do it anymore. im missing out on life." i say looking at him." i mean i had my first kiss the other the night. and the only reason it happened was because im not little as much anymore."i tell him slowly.

he frowns listening to me.

"what do you mean?" he ask confused seeing my angry state change.

"i cant be little anymore alec...im missing out...i used to be little everyday. and i fell behind in school. i mean im still an online senior for highschool." i tell him shrugging my shoulders."its weighing me down alec.i dont wanna do it anymore." i  tell him brushing my hair out of my face.

i look at alec and i can tell something snapped inside of him as i finsh speaking. his worried face dropped and his eyes slightly darkened.

its like i hit a nerve or something.

"so what? your just gonna walk around and pretend like you dont want to be carried everywhere.like you dont want someone to read you a story and tuck you into bed." he speaks hos voice pathronising and deep eahch step that he takes makes my heart beat faster.

he comes and stands right infront of me making me look away.

i shake my head listening to him.

"you dont want someone to help you choose and put on your clothes..you dont want someone to help you bathe and to help feed you." he speaks his voice dropping making me gulp and stll looking away. until he grabs my face pulling me inches away from his lips as i look into his eyes." no you want to be like every other bratty teenager." he mutters looking at me.

i roll my eyes turning to look away but he just holds my face still.

"you know where thats gonna get you gracie....cause im not gonna stand for it."he mutters sternly making me gulp." and he isnt either." alec speaks making me confused as he lets go of my face and i turn around seeing magnus and lydia walking over.

i blush and look away to the floor stepping to stand next to alec instead of infront of him.

"we shall wait out here.... isabelle is inside. everything is prepared"lydia speaks to magnus making him nod.

i feel his eyes on me as i look down at the floor. alec too refusing to look at magnus making him frown before he walks into the room.

i dont bother to even look at alec before i walk away. and i can tell he's annoyed so i just ignore him and walk off towards my room.

 i sigh laying on my bed thinking alec's words over.

i do want everything he said. the problem is i cant have it.

i need to be big and help everyone.

am i gonna be able to do this?

magnus bane was a strong man.strong physically maybe no so much but his mind very strong.

so it was easy for magnus to see that something was deeply troubling gracie the moment he saw her.

even if it was for a couple seconds he could tell by her body languge and the way she refused to look up from the ground that she was worried and upset about something.

and magnus being as determinded as he is will stop at nothing to find out.

"You almost done?"izzy asks looking at magnus annoyed.

magnus stands next to izzy at the table. infront of the body. his hands hovered above it slowly moving them along as a light blue light ammites from his fingers.

"Patience is a virtue, my dear."he replies not taking his eyes off the body.

"Come on. I want to get my hands on that thing."izzy replies smirking rubbing her hands together.

"Speaking of which, how is Gracelynn and Alexander? I was hoping I might hear from them"mganus speaks looking over at izzy for a seocnf before looking bakc at the body.

she doesnt reply instead she walks over and looks close at the body frowning.

"Putrefaction. It's decomposing."she speaks looking at it confused.

"It's just so hard to tell if Alexander is even interested and gracie that girl is very complex. I mean, I can't fathom why they wouldnt be interested." magnus speaks to himself looking at the body still hovering his hands above it.

"I'm not sure if you noticed, but my brother is not exactly warm and fuzzy. gracies' going threw alot at the moment"izzy speaks looking at magnus as she walks around the table.

"Hmm, I suppose. With Clary's and Gracelynn's arrival... "mganus speaks stopping waht hes doing.

"And Valentine's return...finding out he's her father" izzy says looking down at the body moving the head around.

"Mmm-hmm. Running the Institute..." mganus speaks slowly.

"The envoy from the Clave..."izzy says moving the mouth open of the body.

"Oh, who I hear is very impressive...gracie hasnt taken a liking to her though."magnus speaks smirking walking around the table.

"What else? Oh....Babysitting Jace." magnus speaks chuckiling.

"And dealing with our parents who are trying to find him a wife."izzy speaks making magnus smirk drop."Sorry."izzy mutters glancing at magnus.

"It's quite all right. I suppose Alec is just following his duty."magnus speaks calmly.

"Not everyone gets the luxury of following their heart,"izzy speaks picking up a knife.

"so whats going on with the youngest fairchild?"magnus asks frowning.

"i dont know..you'd need to ask alec." izzy mutters looking down at the body.

"okay I'm gonna go deliver the preliminary findings. It seems like you have everything under control here." magnus speaks watching izzy cut deeply into the things chest.
