it had only been an hour before someone approached me while i was sat with izzy requesting that i go and speak to that guy.

taking deep breaths i pass alec in the hallway, he glances at me making me sigh before walking into the mans office.

"you wanted to see me?" i ask stepping into the room frowning.

"Yes, gracelynn" he speaks sending me a warm smile.

"just gracie" i say awarkwardly making him chuckle.

"gracie Take a seat." he says gesturing to the sofa with a camera infront of it."Sorry about the camera. Like I told your friends when they came in, this is official business, so... I have to be official." he says smiling at me amking me nod.

he sits on the edge of the desk in the office and grabs a remote turning the camera onto record.

"Now... Let's talk about Jace."he speaks his tone going serious but he keeps a small smile.

"Okay." i reply shifting im my seat.

you can do this.

"You had the impression he was saving your lives by leaving with Valentine?"he asks and straight away i frown.

"It's more than an impression. It's what actually happened." i tell the guy seriously." If he had tried anything, the rest of us would have been killed." i explain to him.

"Was he within striking distance of Valentine?"he asks grabbing a pen off the desk sitting it into a holder

"I told you, it... It... " i stutter looking at him as he speaks quickly trapping me slightly.

"Could he have taken the man out?"he asks again more forcefully this time.

"It was an impossible situation, okay? Jace tried to warn us. He told us Valentine was on the way."i say despertely sitting forwards looking at the man with wide eyes.

"So... Jace knew ahead of time that Valentine was setting a trap. How do you suppose he knew that?"he asks frowning at me causing me to take a deep breath.

"I don't know."i shurg sighing leaning back against the chair"He told us to get out of there. Next thing I knew, I had a seraph blade to my throat." i reply looking at the man seriously.

"Oh. Got it." he says suddnely feeling slightly bad.

"Look, Jace saved our lives. We have to find him." i say pushing myself to my feet.

"That's exactly what I'm gonna do" he says smiling at me before garbbing the remote turning the camera off."thank you for all your help" he speaks pushing himself off the desk smiling at me again

"your welcome...anything to find jace" i say seriously to him. he frowns noticing the determination in my voice.sighing i look away before looking back at him." jace has become family....hes important to not just me but clary and alec and izzy....we need him" i reply smiling sadly.

he smiles at me shaking his head.

"you know...i want to learn more about you gracie" he says making me look at him with wide eyes.

"you-you do?" i ask slowly watching as he takes a step towards me.

"yes i do" he says smiling at me"your not seeing anyone are you?" he asks making me slowly step back.

"kinda...umm..its complicated" i mutter looking at him as he slowly stops walking.

"oh...well...you know where i am if you wish to take me up on my offer" he says smiling widely at me before turing around walking to the desk making me quickly slip out of the room.
