chapter 56

on our jorney too look for the boys and clary decided to have a quick catch up.

before we was even introduced to this world we was close.

and now we barely see each other.

"i still cant believe that jace is out brother" i say as we turn a corner.

"believe me neither can i.." she sighs shaking her head.

"and simon...hes a..a vampire" i say shaking my head this time.

"yeah" she says stopping grabbing my arm." im really sorry about not telling you that...its just with everything going on with valentine and you struggiling with magnus and alec i just-"she rants standing infront of me a gulity look on her face,

"clary" i say stopping her rant." its okay...ive been distracted and overwhelmed too...its okay" i tell her smiling sadly."lets just get this over with and well talk" i say smiling at her making her nod.

"good cause i really want the details about your little love life" she says grabbing my hand smirking at me.

i laugh as we continue to walk again.

we finally find the boys in the training room both of them changed out of their wedding attire.

they are laying out weponds on a table.

"jace what are you doing?"clary asks straight away watching as he hands alec his bow.

"alec?" i ask confused seeing them both act like robots on a mission,.

"Every second we waste here, Hodge gets closer to Valentine."jace speaks pulling on a pair of gloves.

"lets like them talk"alec mutters making me frown and step away from the table with him.

"alec whats going on?" i ask as we walk over to a shelve contining more weponds.

"theres gonna be a fight" he speaks pulling a sword off the shelve.

"okay then i wanna help"i say seriously making him sigh.

"you cant.." he sighs not looking at me.

"stop it" i say shaking my head. he frowns and looks at me." i wanna help alec...hes my dad" i tell him seriously. he just stares at me making me sigh."this whole time...all you and clary and magnus have done is try to keep out of the fight." i tell him stepping towards him."i dont want that anymore" i say slowly taking the sword out of his hand."im not regressing" i mutter looking down at the sword.

 i can feel alecs onfused frowns as i run my fingers over the handle of the sword

"let me do this alec" i say looking up at him with a determineded and serious look on my face.

he thinks to himself for a moment before taking a deep breath.

"fine....but your not using that" he says making me frown as he taks it out of my hands.

he puts it back on the shelve and i watch as he pulls out another draw.

a deep purple coloured bow just like alecs lays in the tray. a set of arrows with purple ends lay next to it.

he looks down and slowly pulls it out of the draw.

"i had this created when i learnt i wanted to have a little" he says slowly looking at me as he holds the bow in his hands.

"ill look after it i promise" i tell him seriously making him sigh as he holds it out to me.

i grab ahold of it and it glows a pink colour making him smile.

he takes out the arrows and a quvier that is black with purple stitching. he hands them over slowly making me pull it onto my back.

 he run my fingers over the bow and all the small details on it. 

alec steps forwards and put his finger under my chin making me look away rom the bow and at him.

"but when we get back you, me and magnus were gonna talk and were gonna sort all this out"he says gestruing me up and down making me nod a small smile appears on my face.

we walk back over to clary and jace and alec pulls his quvier with a full set of arrows onto his back.

 i smile to myself at the thought of him wanting whoever he gave the bow to be just as protected as he is.

"When I first wanted to find my mom, I didn't care about anyone else. But you were the one that taught me that it's about a world that's bigger than us." clary speaks despertely putting her hands on the table looking at him.

"That's why you need to wake her up. She was his prisoner... and his wife. If anyone can stop him, she can." jace replies looking at her.

"Jace, listen to me-" she goes to say but he cuts her off.

" You can do this." he tells her quickly but she shakes her head.

"Maybe I can. But it's not about me, it's you I'm worried about. You cannot let Valentine's evil poison you!"she exlaims shaking her head as she looks at him.

"He's my father." he tells her with a glare on his face.

"Actually... he's our father." she replies back slwoly.

"You don't get it."he says shaking his head looking away from her.

"jace... How are we gonna find Hodge? He didn't leave anything we can track."

"we might be able to ask Magnus for help." i say looking up at alec and then at jace.

"your on their side?" clary asks looking at me,

i sigh and  look at her.

" i want this to be over clary." i say looking into her eyes." i want mom awake and i want to be happy" i tell her with a small smile on my face.

jace walks off making alec following him, alec looks back at me making me look at clary as she stares at me.

i sigh and turn around walking quickly after alec and jace.

"we'll go speak to magnus" alec speaks linking his free hand with mine.

"You need to stop thinking with your stele, Alec."jace speaks getting his phone out of his pocket."There's more than one way to track." he speaks making me and alec look at each other before nodding.

after quickly rushing and getting changed pulling on a one of alecs shirts that i found in the wardrobe in my room and a pair of light grey pants i grab the dark blue zip up hoodie from the bottom of my bed and pull on some white trainers before meeting jace and alec in the main room.

"lets go" jace says without looking at us he just walks off.

"come on" alec speaks linking our hands pulling me after him.
