Chapter Seven

I sunk down into the material of the sofa and flicked the tv on, pulling the hood of my onesie up over my head. I hadn't spoken to Beau in a few days after seeing him with Carley, I decided it was best to just leave them be. My phone vibrated on the coffee table, dragging me from my thoughts. I leant down and clutched it in my hands.

Message: To Jai

Party tonight, you're coming. We're getting a taxi there at 8, be ready X

I smiled at how cute Jai was, he literally invited me anywhere. If there was ever an oppourtunity for me to be out and about and meeting new people, Jai made sure he went and introduced me to everyone.

Message: To Jai

Sounds great, come over when you're ready X

I frowned slightly at Jai's next reply as he informed me that Carley and Beau would also be joining us. I looked down at the time, it was nearly 5pm. I quickly jumped up and sprinted up the stairs, I was going to do everything within my power to ensure I looked better than Carley tonight.

I shoved my hair on my head and got under the water of the spraying shower, making sure I didn't get it wet. I rinsed my body and lathered myself in coconut smelling gel, I hated coconuts but loved the smell, it was so nice.

As soon as I re-entered my room, I flung open my wardrobe doors in order to find something jaw-dropping to wear. I pulled out a figure hugging black dress which came to the low thigh and had long sleeves which came off the shoulders. I chose to wear a bright red pair of wedges which complemented the dress perfectly.

Now I'd decided upon an outfit, I gutted on the bobble which was holding my hair and let the nautral loose curls fall swiftly down to my bum. I backcomed the top slightly to ensure there was some volume before spraying all over with my treseme hairspray.

I smiled and took a once over in the mirror as I completed my make-up and smacked my lips together spreading the lipstick over the surface on my lips. I sprized some lady million over my body and added some gold jewellery to the outfit before heading downstairs to greet whoever just knocked on the front door.

"Wow" Skip laughed, looking me up and down. I rolled my eyes and laughed, clutching some money and my phone and placing it into a red clutch bag. "You look really good" he smiled, moving back from the door frame so I could exit and lock up.

"So do you" I chuckled, looking up and down him. He was wearing a black t-shirt with a purple pattern on the front paired with some skinny denim jeans and white leather high-tops.

Within 5 minutes of arriving at the party, Jai and I had begun to down vodka shots together in the kitchen. "Here" he said, handing me another. "1, 2, 3" he chanted before we tipped the clear liquid down our throats and scrunched our faces up as the burning sensation rolled off our tongues. My head was already beginning to feel a little lighter as Jai and I had managed to polish off a litre bottle of straight vodka by shotting it straight.

A body crept up behind me and a pair of hands placed themselves over my eyes. I instantly knew who it was my the strong smell of cologne which was entering my nostrils as I inhaled and indulged in the scent.

"Skip" I giggled, turning around in his arms to face him. I watched as his grin turned into a frown and he began to moan demanding to know how I knew it was him, I just shook my head and rolled my eyes at him.

"Here, I got you a drink" he laughed after his strop, handing me a glass with a deep red looking liquid in, I eyed it wondering if Daniel was playing a prank.

"What is it?" I sniffed it suspiciously, I smelled strong. I feared it had been spiked, but surely Daniel wouldn't give me a drink that had been drugged.
