Nagito's PoV:

"Hey Komaeda!!"

I heard my best friend call me.
I was playing in the sand box in the local park,alittle ways away from our kindergarten.

"Hinata?"

I look up from the floor and notice Hajime Hinata running up to me.
His green eyes and brown hair were engraved into my memory.
He quickly enters the sand box and squats next to me.

"Hey!What are you doing here?Did your parents forget you again??"

Hajime asks.

"I think so.I dont really mind though."

I smile sadly,drawing a sad face with my finger in the sand.

"Maybe...your parents are having too much fun being around eachother!"

Hajime beams.He was always able to see the good in things...even if he is 6 years old like me.

"I dont think so.I heard my parents were getting divorced."

I sigh.
Hajime tilts his head,confused.

"D-Dee...vor...ced?"

Hajime mumbles.

"O-Oh.Its...when two parents 'un-marry' then."

I laugh nervously.

"Oooh!So thats what that is.Thats seems like a waste..."

Hajime pouts.

"I misunderstand."

I mutter.

"Why get married to 'un-marry' in the future anyway.Thats just a waste of time."

Hajime informs.

"I was thinking the exact same thing...!"

I frown,alittle riled up.
Hajime thinks for a second.

"Well...I guess it wasnt a full waste of time.Something great came from it."

Hajime comments.
I was abit confused.Hajime laughs at my confusion.

"You came from their marriage!Thats not a waste of time,now is it?"

Hajime smiles.
I blush slightly and look down,embarrassed.

"Dont say such things,Hinata..."

I mumble.

"Whaaa??But its truuue!"

Hajime whines.
He then takes my hand in his.

"Hey Komaeda!Lets get married in the future!"

Hajime grins.

"Huh?"

I was confused.

"If we get married,we'll show your parents that being married is the best thing in the world!Then they wont divorced!"

Hajime explains.

"R-Really?Would that really work?"

I ask,abit skeptical.

"Yup!I'll marry you when we get older!So,wait for abit,okay Komaeda??"

Hajime says,tightening his hold on my hand.

"I'll wait as long as I have to,Hinata."

I reply.
That day is when we made a promise...that I never forgot.
My parents never did divorce yet,even at my current age of 16,they were still married but...fighting everyday about little things.
Hajime was still my best friend.
