"Hey.How about we adopt a baby?"
Kokichi Oma's sudden question made his fiancée almost choke on his coffee.It was an early morning,around 7am.Him and his beloved were at the dining table enjoying brekafast.Kokichi's beloved being Shuichi Saihara.They have have been dating for 6 years,they began dating at 15 years old.
At their 5 year mark,Shuichi proposed to Kokichi and he agreed.Theyve been engaged for a year now.Kokichi didnt mind their lives now,in a nice house in a nice neighbourhood with just the two of them but Kokichi wanted to try out new things.Scratch an itch.
"Are...you being serious right now,Kichi?"
Shuichi asks,clearing his throat.
The gremlin found that offensive for some reason.
"Of course I am!I dont joke!"
Shuichi's eyes were wide,still trying to gauge if his lover was serious or not.He was both,semi-serious.The blue haired male went quiet for a minute,gears in his head turning.
"Are you really sure?We're only 21.That seems abit too young for kids,much less a baby."
His eyebrows furrow,looking alittle worried.
"We can still try!"
The smaller male was getting desperate.Shuichi still wasnt convinced but instead of saying a direct 'no',he decided he'd just compromise.
"Do just want something to take care of?"
Shuichi queries.
This made Kokichi embarrassed.This was the real reason of asking such a question.
Kokichi wasnt going to let his fiancée get the best of him,so with an unaffected grin,he replies...
"And what if I do?"
Shuichi looks up to the ceiling,trying to think of something to keep his husband-to-be distracted from the baby conversation.Then,an idea came to him.
"Do you maybe want to adopt a pet instead?"
He suggests.
This causes Kokichi pause for a second.He never even thought about it.A pet is way less work than a baby.The purple haired male still wanted a kid with Shuichi but...this would have to do...
"A pet,huh?I guess that could work..."
He mutters under his breath.
He then pets his lover on the head,ruffling his hair.
"Thats a really good idea,Shu~!"
"I know.Now..."
Shuichi stands from his chair.
"Finish eat before it gets cold."
He pinches the bridge of his fiancée's nose causing the gremlin to snap his eyes shut and wince.
"I'll be upstairs."
Shuichi chuckles.
He found his lover's reaction really cute.Kokichi pouts,his nose a slight bit red but then his thoughts went from how he'll get his beloved back for that pinch to what kind of pet he should get for the household.
Pets are usually referred to as the owner's children so maybe getting one was a better than he thought but...what kind of animal will suit him and his fiancée?
......
One day,particularly rainy,Shuichi was sitting on the couch,a blanket over his shoulders and a book in hand.He was just enjoying some reading since he had nothing else to do.
His lover was out,hanging with a couple friends for awhile.They didnt know it was gonna rain today,so Shuichi was worried Kokichi would return with a cold or a fever.
