"Get up!" The two words boom in my ear. I try mustering all the strength I had left, just to pick my head off of the ground. All I could see is a blurred silhouette of him, then my face falls back to the floor. The cold feels comforting. Mumbling replaces the silence that once took over the room. None of the words audible.
His rough hands take hold of my arm, I can't help but wince. He must have noticed because he then put his other hand on my face. The constant thought attacks my brain: this is the end. He spoke to me, his voice like thorns on a rose bush. That one hand that he held so thoughtfully to my cheek was now gone. Soon replaced with the solid knuckles bulging from his fist. All I remember is the pain that followed; my temple in excruciating pain. My view slowly faded to a solid black view and just like that I was sure I was done for.
