CHAPTER 22

As we entered in the island, I see many expensive cars parked outside. Paparazzi are everywhere to get a news because this is a big event. Famous bachelors and known business man/woman are here.

Inalalayan ako ni Knox ng makababa ako. He gently hold my hand as I get out of the car. He was about to wrapped his hands arms my waist but

I avoided him.

He looked at me, confused.

“Hmmm?” His eyebrows raised that form an arc.

“Don’t get near me, there’s a lot of people here and also the media. We shouldn’t get near to each other.”

He avoided my gaze and I saw pain flash across his eyes, then his jaw clenched.

“Damn it!” He muttered a cursed under his breath.

“Please…” I pleaded.

“I hope you understand me, baby.”

His eyes soften when he heard the word “baby” the endearment he used to call me and the endearment he wanted me to call him also.

“Ayokong itago kitang, itago bilang kasintahan ko. Ayokong single ako sa harap ng maraming tao where in fact, I have a beautiful girlfriend here but, she wanted me to hide her.” He mumbled and he brush his finger against his hair.

“Gusto kong ipakita na akin ka, akin ka lang…” he said in a stern voice. Halata sa boses niya ang pagiging teritoryal sa akin.

“I wanted to announce to all the people here, that you are my girlfriend but I know you’ll be at risks.”

“You’re mine and I’m yours, baby. Akin ka na eh, pero para kang buwan at ako na naman ang bituin na kahit gaano pa ako kalapit sa’yo hindi natin magagawang magdikit.” He turned his back on me and walked to get inside the hotel.

“Knox…” I mumbled as I watch him walk away to me.

I gritted my teeth, I know I hurt him.

I know it so selfish of me, I wanted our relationship to be secret while he really wanted me to introduce to all the people that, “I’m his”.

But I just did it for a reason! I keep our relationship secret for a reason for pete’s sake!

If he’s hurting, I am also.

We are both in pain because that’s love.

Love and Pain are best of friends.

Love will teach us lesson so as to Pain, it will teach us lesson too.

Love, we will feel the pain cause by love. ‘cause you really love him/her.

If ever we fall in love to someone, expect the pain. Expect that you’ll get hurt. Because Love without Pain is…you wouldn’t achieve a true love.

A tear escaped from my eyes but I immediately wiped it using the back of my hands.

I entered the hotel and there’s a lot of people. The crowd occupy every corners of the hotel.

And here I am alone, looks like a lost puppy in a market.

Nginingitian ko ang mga nakasulubong kong ngumiti sa akin. I wadered my gazed inside the hotel. It somehow annoy the hell out of me! How can I find my parents and grandparents here? How can I huh? Geez, nagmukmok na lang sana ako sa bahay kaysa nagpunta dito na parang timang.

I took a heavy sigh, hindi ko pa rin sila mahanap kahit pa mag-angat ako ng tingin. Magiging giraffe na yata ang leeg ko dahil sa kakaangat ng tingin makita lang sila.
