CHAPTER 39

The atmosphere is awkward. Imagine, Knox is here inside my father’s office while looking at us, surprised.

“Oh, you’re back!” Papa said. Knox was taken a back when he heard my father’s voice. He shifted his gaze and looked at my father’s direction.

“Yes, tito. That’s why I dropped by here to pay a visit.”

“Surprisingly, I saw Samatha with two adorable cute kids.” I heard Knox answered. I gulped when my gazed met his when I looked at him. Bigla naman akong umiwas ng magtama ang mata namin.

Papa chuckled. “I have two adorable apo!” Papa answered proudly.

“I wonder who’s their father.” Natahimik kaming lahat dahil sa sinabi ni Knox. Nakita kong nakatingin si Mama at Papa sa akin. Mama flashed a smiled at me and nodded, she signaled me to tell about the twins. While, I saw my father heaved a deep sighed, then, nodded at me.

I bit the inside of my cheeks when I looked at to Knox’s face. His jaw clenched and his eyes were bloodshot when his eyes dropped to the twins direction. I saw him how he frustratedly brushed her finger against his hair.

“Samantha…” Papa called my name.

“Po?” I am nervous as fuck, I don’t know what to do.

“Talk to him in private n—” I cut him off before he could finished his sentence.

“But Pa—”

“No buts, go…talk to him.” He said in stern voice.I took a deep breath and stood up from my seat.

Mama smiled at me, like she was telling everything will be fine.

“Knox…” Papa and Knox nodded each other.

Knox turned his back to my father and went to me.

Gusto na rin siguro ng magulang ko na ipaalam ko na ang tungkol sa kambal kay Knox. Para makilala nila ang ama nila ng maaga.

Dalawang taon na ang kambal, tama na rin siguro ang ilang taon na hindi ko pagsasabi kay Knox ang tungkol sa kanila. Knox deserves to know about them.

Hindi ko pa pinabinyagan ang kambal. Ang plano ko kasi ay mabibinyagan sila kapag kompleto na kami, kapag maayos na kami ni Knox. Hindi na nga nasaksihan ni Knox ang unang iyak, tawa, at salita ng mga bata eh. Kaya kahit sa binyag na lang masaksihan niya rin kahit papaano.

“Get the twins with you,” pahabol ni Papa.

Pinainom ko na sina Aidan at Sam ng tubig at pinunasan ang kanilang bibig at pisngi dahil sa dumi.

Mahina akong natawa when I heard Aidan burped them Sam followed. They both giggled when they heard their burped.

“Can I carry him?” Knox asked when I carried Aidan. But Aidan encircled her arms around my neck and rested his chin on my shoulder when he heard Knox said.

“Ayaw niya,” mahinang sabi ko.

“Uhm… Can I carry this little girl instead?” He asked to me.

I nodded, “Sure…”

“Hello…” Baby Sam said and waved her hands when Knox carried her.

“Hi baby…” It sounds music to my ears when I heard him say baby, but it wasn’t me. It’s our daughter he called baby.

“We’ll go now, Tito… Tita.”

“Sure, take care of them,” Papa said.

“Take care!’ Mama said.
