'Chaos', concluded by Kavitha when she looked at the breakfast table.
Earlier, Vijitha came to her room to help her as said by Vijay. Vijitha looked after the sleeping Mazhilini when Kavitha freshened up. Vijitha too invited her to their breakfast.
She looked at Vijitha with amusement when Viji shared about their family tradition of 'Discussion over the table'. She never once had her breakfast with her family back in her husband's house. It was her duty to serve breakfast and to cleanup the table. She would have her breakfast after finishing all the works. And also they had never discussed anything over the table. Her mother in law, had a separate room for any discussion and also there will not be any chance given to the daughter in law's of that household to express their thoughts. She wondered how they will take decision if everyone express their minds.Vijay felt happy when he looked at his mother setting up the table for their breakfast. From the delicious smell of the dishes, he can say that it was his mom's cooking.
"Hmmm...Looks like Chitra mom cooked food for us", Karthik said from his back.
"Yay!!!, then it's a treat for us", said their little brother Rithvin.
His brothers nodded their head and went towards Chitra. They hugged her and in turn got forehead kisses from Chitra. They all sat in their places and indulged in their usual talks. It was their habit to share their day-to-day life with one another. Chitra looked at the trio and smiled. She always wanted this kind of unity in her family. Though she had witnessed the unity among all the children of her household, it was not possible to see the same among the elders. One by one all of her family members came to breakfast table and started filling their plates with their favorite Roti and tomato curry.
Chitra smiled, looking at her happy family. Rithvin, her youngest son bought smiles in all their faces. He was sharing some incident from his college, when they heard footsteps. Vijay looked up from his plate with nudging of his brother Karthik. He looked at his mother. Chitra smiled and nodded her head. Earlier, the mother and son duo planned to introduce Kavitha to their family and to answer their questions.
When Vijay got the positive signal from his mom, he left the food and went towards Kavitha. Viji gently squeezed Kavitha's hand. Kavitha felt a new confidence when she looked up at the assuring smile of Vijitha. She turned towards Vijay who was standing before her with a smile.
"Kavitha", he started and added, "Um..I hope I can call you Kavitha" with a smile.
"Yes", Kavitha nodded her head with a smile.
"See, I am going to introduce you to my family. Hopefully you don't have any objection. They may ask some questions. You don't have answer if you are not comfortable", Vijay said and took Mazhilini from Vijitha.
"Don't worry Kavitha, we will be with you", Vijitha gave her the much needed assurance.
Her nerves were never ending when she found that all eyes were looking at her.Everyone had a distinct feeling about Kavitha. She concluded that some were curious; some were cautious; some were welcoming and the remaining were the feeling she dreaded the most, 'Hatred'
It was clear that she was an uninvited person in that house and it was not new to her. She was once an uninvited person in her own house. She had always thought that why she had to face so much of hatred in her life when see the hatred from her relatives and the same question occupied her mind this time too.
She had always yearned for the Love from the people beside her. But she got only the hatred; from her father to her mother in law, no one showed her that Love, which she yearned for expect her husband. She failed to understand that the Love we receive from this world is temporary and the Love we receive from our God is an everlasting Love.
