Chapter - 13 - Hospital Room

Chitra's headache was at its peak when she came out of Operation Theatre. She was badly in need of some coffee that will lessen her pounding headache. She asked her assistant to bring her a coffee and went inside her cabin.

She felt very much relaxed on sitting in her chair. But it was short lived, when Vijitha barged into her room without any notice.

"Ma", Viji called her. Chitra could feel the urgency and the panic Viji's voice held.

"Viji, what happened", Chitra asked calmly but only she knew the thoughts running in her minds.

"Ma, Chitra aunty is in Operation Theatre", Vijitha finished in a hurry.

"What happened", Chitra asked walking out of her room, her coffee long forgotten.

Elsewhere,

Vijay was in a hospital room where he had admitted Kavitha. Initially he thought to take Kavitha to Janatra Hospital but decided against it, when he looked at Kavitha's condition. He brought her to a hospital,very near to his house.

He thanked God for the kind doctor, who took in Kavitha without any questions. Those fifteen minutes were very long for him. After that elongated time, doctor informed him that Kavitha fainted as she was very weak and depressed. She also informed him that she had put Kavitha in observation. He sighed.

The incidents that were taking place in his life for the past month were as chaotic as ever. His own family's mistrust on him disturbed him alot. He didnot forgot the accusations they put on Kavitha.

'No wonder she is depressed', Vijay thought.

A slight moment in Kavitha,made him alert. She slowly opened her eyes and looked here and there with fear.

"Kavitha, can you hear me", Vijay asked softly. This was his first conversation with Kavitha after his family accused him and her. Kavitha turned towards the familiar sound. Though they both are not in talking terms, she knew it was him. She had seen him very few times in the past month. She tried to get up but was interrupted by Vijay.

"Umm, Kavitha don't try to get up. You need lot of rest. Just lye down.", Vijay said softly.

"But, what happened", Kavitha asked timidly.
The medications were worning her out. She was not even able to sit on her own. She felt frustrated with her health. She didnot experience these kind of sickness during her first pregnancy. All she wanted was to get out from Vijay's house but she her sickness made her adhere to Vijay.

"You fainted", Vijay replied.

"But it's common during pregnancy. You shouldn't have brought me to the hospital", Kavitha said frustrated.

Vijay can identify the frustration and helplessness in her voice. He wanted to comfort her. But he have to voice out his thoughts very carefully with wise words.

'Because one wrong word with a pregrant woman, will cost a fortune' not his words but his dear sister Vijitha's.

"But when I came home, you were lying unconscious in the sofa and Mazhi was crying non stop", Vijay replied softly. He continued when he didnot got any reaction.

"I understand you are not comfortable to stay in my home after hearing those baseless acqusations made by my aunt"

Kavitha turned towards Vijay with tear filled eyes. Vijay panicked seeing her tear filled eyes.
