Chapter - 22 - Diving in

Sekar and Mahesh was sitting in their mother's cabin to discuss their findings about their brother. Sashi put forth some demands which will not be good for them.

Sekar's mind drifted back to their conversation with Sashi the other day.

"Good morning sir. I feel honored to be visited by the owners of Tamilnadu's top industry".

Sekar and Mahesh noticed the sarcasm dripping from Sashi. But their situation made them to ignore it.They slightly nodded their head.

"Coming to the purpose of this meeting", Sashi made a dramatic pause to rileup the brothers. When he got the reaction from the brothers like small frown in Sekar's forehead, a light sweat froming in Mahesh's forehead inspite of well maintained Airconditioner he smirked and continued,

"Hmm..actually some one from my office informed DSP about your visit. So he wanted to meet you people personally", Sashi said making Sekar frown.

"Why would he wanted to meet us", Sekar put forth the question.

"Well I don't know", Sashi answered and continued,

"So I called you guys here to get your appointment", he finished while rolling a paper weight.

"Sashi you cannot do this. We both are busy. We cancelled all the meetings scheduled to come here", Mahesh flared with anger.

Sekar calmed him down by placing his hand on his shoulder. He nodded at Sashi.

"We will be available whenever he wants to meet us", Sekar said making Sashi smile widely.

"Okay I will inform him. Bring all the details of your brother's wife", Sashi passed and looked up to see the face of his prey. They visibly paled.

"Oh sorry, she is not your sister in law but a girlfriend of your brother", Sashi finished smirking once again.
(What's with Sashi and smirking!!!)

"Okay we will bring all the details", Sekar and Mahesh said before leaving from there. It has been three days since the meeting and they didnot got any call from Sashi. When Sekar gave a ring, all went straight to the voice mail.

Sekar sighed. He don't know whether they could trust Sashi or not. He was hell confused. His bubble bursted when his mother entered her cabin.

"Sekar, Mahesh I am happy for you both", Lekha said and sat in her chair.

"I went through the project files of yours and I must say I am very much impressed", Lekha said with proud shining in her eyes for her son.

She knew Sekar was very much interested in this project which will give more profit to them. She was happy that her son is taking initiative to step up in the business.

"Mom, we have an issue in hand", Mahesh said  making her attention turn towards Mahesh.

Kavitha was in the kitchen doing her chores. She enjoyed cooking. It's been a week, she started cooking for the family. Everyone enjoys her food. Chitra and Vijay complimented her everytime for her food. In her free time,she also started doing some gardening work too. Though Chitra didnot allowed her to do heavy work in the garden, she allowed her to do light works like watering the plants. Kavitha was more than happy. And she coyld also smell a storm brewing in the house. She didnot failed to notice the cold stare between Vijay's uncle and Chitra. She wondered what was that all about but realised that it's non of her business. She should not interfere in their family matters. She have to worry about the brewing strom in her life, as of now she had  kept it aside which she cannot do for long. The brewing storm has to cross the shore one day or the other;all the while destroying but at last when it had passed through the shore, it will bring back the sunny day.

She finished her work and was cleaning up the kitchen.

"Hi", Vijay said which startled Kavitha.

"Ahhhhhaaa", Kavitha shouted and closed her eyes and ears tightly.

Vijay, who was standing in the entrance of the kitchen was amused by her actions. He chuckled.

"Hey its okay. See it's me Vijay", Vijay said softly.

Kavitha opened her eyes slowing and looked up at her saviour. Vijay was standing infront of her with a slight amused smile. She was embrassed to face Vijay. She turned away from him and continued her work.

"Do you need something", Kavitha asked Vijay.

"Umm..actually I thought of taking Mazhi to the park. So if you want you can come with us", Vijay said.

"Ohhh..I don't think it's a good idea", Kavitha replied fidgeting with the rag. She remembered how Vijay's uncle scolded her when she went out with Vijay, the other day. She looked up at Vijay, frowning at her. Even she noticed a slight disappointment in his eyes.

'Maybe he thought, she won't allow Mazhi to be with him', Kavitha thought.

"You can take Mazhi with you", Kavitha replied.

Vijay sighed. He knew why she avoided going out with him. She didnot even went for park with Chella ma. His family members can be unpredictable sometimes.

"Kavitha if you are worrying about uncle, Rithvin, Viji and even Karthik too coming with us to the park. So come on, go and get ready", Vijay said.

'For once live for yourself', a little voice chripped in Kavitha's mind. She turned towards Vijay, looked at his hopeful eyes and left for getting ready,she don't know why though his hopeful eyes made the much needed push for her.
