Chapter 41 - Not all are bad

Sekar was in his room looking through the performance reports of the month. He smiled seeing the progressive report of his company's performance. Their investment income was doubled and the projected profit was also increased. All thanks to the deal signed with Prakash. Initially he thought that it was not safe to have any kind of relation with Vijay and his family. But when he was approached by Prakash, Vijay's uncle to sign the deal, his sinister mind made another plan. It was very clear that Vijay's family was not very fond of him. He smirked thinking about the plans he has in store to destroy Vijay and Sashi.

"Excuse me sir", he heard the sweet melodious voice of his assistant.

"Ahh, Ranji, come in come in", he said in a cheerful voice. She smiled and walked towards him. He was intrigued by this assistant. Basically she was from Mahesh's legal team but she proved to be a better assistant for him. She stood with him and revised certain terms and conditions in the deal signed by them with Vijay's company. {For who don't remember her, she was the one from Chapter 27}

She gained his trust through her work. Mahesh's legal team was also depended on her. She proved her worth and became Sekar's assistant in a short period of time. Her work was not a piece of cake in a platter, it takes lots of efforts and it was like walking in the throns of roses.

"You are happy sir", she beamed placing the files in his desk.

"Yes, I am happy:, he smiled.

"And the reason would be", she asked while looking through his schedule for that day.

"I was going through the financial reports of the month and I found out that our investment income was increased comparing to the previous months", he said with a smile.

"Congratulations sir", she said and proceeded to tell him about his schedule.

Sekar was not able to take away his eyes from her. She always wore simple kurtis with matched earings. She was neither fair nor dark, something in the middle like most of the tamil people. Not only her looks, her accessories, her self confidence and boldness is what attracted him the most. He knew, she was also attracted towards him. He had noticed her looking at him during meetings, she would always stand by his decisions. He sighed realising that she was finishing up his schedule. It became a routine for him to stare at her while she was explaining his schedule.

"Okay thats all for today, and Mr.Prakash asked for your appointment, when can I give him your appointment?, she finished with a question.

"Don't you think, its your duty to fix my appointments", he asked. She inwardly rolled her eyes at him. She stood there without answering him.

"Okay, day after tommorrow at 1 pm", he answered her after few minutes.

"Thank you sir", she said and moved towards her cabin with a secret smile.

It's been a month Vijay had bought Kavitha to his office quarters. He had never imagined his life would be like this. He was a goner infront of his girls. The ever cold Vijay IPS would become a softy infront of his girls especially Mazhi. He knew Mazhi and Kavitha was safe in his quarters. Many people staying in the quarters were his batch mates and they knew about Vijay. Even some of his batch mates visited Vijay and Kavitha. Most of them were married and thus Kavitha was introduced to a set of house wives who loved to gossip. Mazhi became everyone's favourite within a span of few days. What made Kavitha amazed was the care and affection the people poured on her without questioning anything. Vijay bought a phone for Kavitha and taught her how to use it. He strictly ordered Kavitha to call him incase of any emergency.

Life was unpredictable sometime. We might have liked someone and have imagined our life with them. Not all the times, life will go as we have planned or liked. We have to face the insults, losses, heart breaks in our life to reach our destiny. Kavitha too faced many hardships in her life. So she was not able to digest the fact that, she was being taken care of. She was in awe about the people who lived in the quarters. She had noticed the anxious eyes of a housewife when her husband had not returned on time. She had noticed the gloomy environment whenever an attack happened in their city. She also had noticed that, all the people in the quaters were ready to help each other in the times of trouble. In this month's time, she had learned that all the people in the earth were not cruel. There were some kind people like Chitra and Vijay.

Vijay made her to forget the horrible things happened in his house with his affection and care. She noticed Not only Vijay, his mother Chitra, his siblings Vijitha, Karthik and Rithvin too made her to loosen up her wall, she had built. Sashi was also not less than them, he went overboard threatening Vijay to look after her. She was overwhelmed with the love and care she received thus her health was improved. Karthik along with her doctor Naetra visited once a week and took care of her health. Now anyone can see her baby bump. But what amazed her most was the unjudgemental attitude of the people in that quarters. No one questioned her about her relationship with Vijay. Instead they made her feel safe and secured.

Her daughter, Mazhi became the center of the happiness of Vijay's siblings. Vijay and his gang thoroughly spoiled Mazhi. She would become emotional whenever she saw her daughter getting love from the Vijay's siblings. No one from Baskar's side looked after Mazhi like that. Amist all these, how can she not fall for Vijay. He left his own house for her. What more can she expect from a man. But her little heart was not ready to accept that Vijay liked her. She decided that, she is not a fit girl not even to stand beside Vijay.

It became difficult for her to hide her growing love for Vijay, when he is near her.Though she could her heart's wishpers about Vijay's love for her, she pulled every string to stop her feelings grow. But can we stop what God had planned for us. NO right? And there came a day, when she realised that.
