Chapter 27 - The Trun

There was dead silence in the room. All the eyes were on Sekar, who was sitting at the head of the conference table with blood shot eyes. Everyone in the room knew not to mess with a pissed off Sekar. The loud shattering of glass broke the killing silence.

"Dammit", Sekar hissed in pain, as the shattered glass pierced his skin.

Eventhough the room was fully air conditioned, sweat rolled down in everyone's face by witnessing the rage radiating off Sekar. Their previous boss Pappu was a lovely boss. They don't know what happened to him. It's been months, he visited the office. There were many rumours spreading around the office regarding Pappu. But what they don't know is their favorite boss was no more and they have to suffer under Sekar.

"Where are those people in so called legal team", Sekar asked with gritted teeth suppressing his pain. His assistant was treating his wounded palm. Another fresh sweat rolled down in their faces. Though she was afraid of Sekar, she cleared her throat

"They are on their way sir", she broke the silence prevailed in the room. Sekar frowned upon her.

"And who the hell are you?", Sekar shouted.

She flinched at his tone but answered him.

"I am Mr.Mahesh's assistant"

"What? But what happened to Laila?", Sekar asked once again with gritted teeth. He don't remember signing any appointment orders recently. Though Mahesh was a shareholder of the company, he has to get permission from Sekar for recruiting anyone for his team. And the appointment orders were to be signed by Sekar. Previously, Pappu was the one who was looking after the HR department but now Sekar was the one took over that. Eventhen the final authority was with Sekar.

"Umm.. Laila madam was in Maternity leave and so Mahesh sir asked me to assist him", she replied. Something about her intrigued Sekar.

'Am I missing something' Sekar thought and when was ready to shoot his next question, revealing Mahesh and his most trusted team members. Sekar looked at his brother who standing at the entrance of the door, panting heavily.

"Sekar I...", Mahesh's words were cut short by Sekar's words.

"It's sir for you, when we are in official meeting. Come in and give me a valid explanation for those ignored terms in our recent contract"

"Now"

Everyone flinched at the tone of Sekar. Everyone prayed to their God to save them from the wrath of Sekar and turned their attention to him.

Mahesh sighed and entered the conference room and put forth his explanations for the drafting the contract.

Okay it's weird.. We don't know why this Sekar was behaving like this...let's go to the other side of the story...

Sashi was in his room, thinking about the party that took place a week before in Vijay's house. He was shocked when, Vijay sent him a invitation to attend the party. He gladly accepted the invite and decided to attend the party.

Who will not be?, when his friend invited him after few years for a party hosted by his family. The all time happy Vijay, he had known was no more. Now, most of the time he was seeing a closed off Vijay. As a friend it kills him to see Vijay like this. But he understands, when something happens in our life that shake the trust we have, then it will be hard for us to present our heart in the plate before others. Sashi sighed. The next shock came when Vijay asked him to arrange security for the party. He had never once asked for security for his family. And when he took the phone to call him, he received a message from Vijay saying that he explain everything later in the party.

Sashi's mind drifted to the good memories he had in the party. He felt overwhelmed seeing Chitra after many days. She was always been a second mother to him. Sashi missed Vijay's family more than he missed his friend Vijay. He had seen his little sister Vijitha, all grown up and beautiful. And his little trouble maker Rithvin who considered Sashi as his roll model in his childhood days. Now he don't know whether Rithvin remembered him or not.

He then remembered the little girl, his friend was holding. He had witnessed the happy Vijay after many days.

'If everything had been alright in Vijay's life, he will be holding his own daughter now', he thought and sighed.

The best part of the party was the guest. When it's time for the arrival of guest, Sashi looked towards Vijay and the smirk he passed conveyed that it was all his plan. It was confirmed when Sashi looked at the guest and a smirk of his own made an appearance as Sekar stood there with the shocked expression on seeing Vijay.
