Chapter - 19 Some past

Kavitha was more than happy for the past two days. But her overthinking mind was again pushing her into the dark depressed zone. Vijay and Chitra was very kind to her. She felt relaxed when Vijay took her to the park the other day. Chitra asked Chella ma to be with her all the time.

She was happy after many days. But she knew it was not permanent. Anyway she had to leave this house one day. With the recent happenings, she believed that day was not far away.Vijay's uncle scolded her and Vijay when they returned from park on that day. And Vijitha was not spending time with her; Vijay's aunt was not in the house. Though questions were in the tip of her tongue, she choosed to ignore it.

Her mind went back to the day she fainted. She sighed. Though the doctor said the reason as depression, she knew the real reason.

The letter she got from Basker was the sole reason for her fainting.

The letter had many harsh truths that will change her life and bring down her in laws to ashes.

She don't know that the file her husband gave her contained proof against his own family. He had also mentioned the reason but before she had a chance to read it, Vijay came to her room with Mazhi. She hurriedly kept the file under her bed before Vijay could notice her.Once again she sighed. Subconsciously she rubbed her stomach, gaining strength from her unborn child.

She also decided to wait until her baby's birth to inform about the illegal activities of her inlaws to Vijay. She felt guilty for hiding this from Vijay. But she was afraid of the outcome.
'What if her inlaws comes to know about her; what if they make her suffer; what if they separate her from Mazhi; what if they harm her unborn child'.

All these thoughts clouded her mind and that leaded to her fainting.

Her respect towards Vijay increased when he took her to the park inspite of her rude behavior with him. She also noticed that he checked upon her while playing with Mazhi in the park. Noone has taken care of her like this since her mother died. Hormones or not she felt tears flowing from her eyes. This is the case whenever she thought about her mother. She felt the same care from Chitra too. Out of curiosity, one day she even asked Chitra the reason for taking care of her. The answer Chitra gave amused her.

"Long before, I was like you Kavitha. I lost my husband when Vijitha was a 1 year baby. There was no one who took care of me. It was hard for me and I believe God made me walk through that hard path to help others who walk in the same path", were the exact words of Chitra.

'How selfless Chitra ma was?', Chitra thought to herself. Maybe like Chitra said she was going through this hard path inorder to help others in near future.

Maybe, who knows what is stored for us in the future except our God.
