Empty thoughts fly up like dreams into the air
They are the wisps of memories and lullabies
Dreams of people and where there heart lies
Silence envelops the town
Cars pass in their silent journeys
The rose colored dawn chases the night away
A young man named Helios, carrying a golden staff
Leading his cattle into the new day
Holding my hands to the skies
I reach for the stars of heaven
That glisten in their newness
With outstretched arms and eyes wide open
I pull down their melodies with grace
I live and breathe
The fresh air
Filling me with the eternal song
This is where I will remember you my love
I will remember that your kiss felt mine
That you smoothed the hair out of my face
Never was too far away
Always told me to "Be Safe" when I went home
These passions won't last
Like all things, death will consume us all
However, I think you can hear this
That love really does exist
Love is a reason for living
A passion that will lift us all
That is why we live and don't give up
For that moment we can share with that special person
A touch
A laughter
A moment of happiness
This is a reason to exist
Remembering that in the darkness
A hand of light is pulling us out
