I wonder if you ever lost yourself out in the waves.

If you ever let the wind blow in your hair and let your cares slip into the ocean.

Did you see the palm trees sway in the breeze and watch the fish swim between your feet?

I feel swept away in a tropical environment

Perhaps it's the bright blue sky mocking me

The wind blowing fast through the trees

Reminding me to be carefree

The bright blue water of the pool hinting at a summer of watermelon and fireworks

I wonder if you ever walked under the night sky in the big city.

If you saw the big towering buildings lurking above your head and ever wondered how small you are.

Did you look in the lit windows of the hotel buildings and imagine what couples might be staying there?

I feel rushed within the city

People pass left and right

A homeless man lays down next to the wall

His body is covered in newspaper

While I sniff smog rolling from the cars

Perhaps it's the way we adapt to environment

Or maybe it's the environment that changes us

Ways of thinking initiated that I never had before

Had I not dreamed on the same planet that you have dreamed

This can all be taken away in a single swipe

By a hurricane moving up the Gulf of Mexico

Or an earthquake that hits the San Andreas fault

I think about how some of us hide from our environment

Behind the protection of our computers and Netflix movies

Very few sit outside and let the wind rip through their hairs

We have already lost so much

It's time for us to venture back out into our environment

We will be required to save it

To relearn what we have forgotten

Lose all sense of self

Relax your senses

Feel the infinite beat

Breathing in and out

You find yourself

Falling down the Rabbit Hole

Where reality is merely an illusion

Where all the fairytales begin to come true

Why did you fall in love with me?

Is it because of what I saw in you?

Why don't you relax?

Feel the pleasures of sensuality

It is as if when I let myself go

Colors become more brilliant

Take a breath

The air is chilly

A fan with an endless hum

Many summer days

Bees buzzing from flower to flower

Little ones with angelic smiles

The fullness of a setting sun

Stars in their brightness

Shining through the darkness

Nothing but the trees to hide your secrets

Stars shining in stunning brilliance

I feel free

Spiraling away

Into the cosmos

Where others can't catch me

Running towards the unknown
