Puff puff puff
Breathing it in
Breathing it out
My eyes glaze over
Puff puff puff
"Am I the same as when I woke up this morning?" asked Alice
Witch doctor
Heal my wounds
Fill it up with thoughts of you
So when I clean my body and care for my wounds
I treat myself like I would treat you
Witch Doctor
I need to be redeemed
Need to find me as the dream in someone else's night
The empty space in their bed
The tear in their heart where they can't find peace
Witch Doctor
I still believe
That the heavens could one day part
Bringing me release
That all my intentions may effect and leave my name among the Gods
Witch doctor
I still need more time
Days pass
As sun and moon interchange
What must I do to make you mine?
Inside this place
Inside their voices
Where I long to belong
Among the chosen and remembered
Those who made stories
Not those who wrote them
In his heart
I am melting into a story
Had I known I was so beautiful
I would have thought differently long ago
That my eyes can mean words
That my smile can tell a story
We are the gods
We are the monsters
Our stories melt into each other
Soon, like an ink dropped onto the paper
We lose ourselves trying to fit in
I didn't know I could be so lovely
Wine, Booze, Liquor
Meth, Coke, and Crack
This is what we do
We are melting under drugs
And this supposed to be beautiful
But we made ourselves sicker
And on the radio, we are killing ourselves
Singing to make money
Singing to make memory
And enjoy the fruit of this moment
My wounds are numerous
And the pain
Though frowned upon by society as an unhealthy coping mechanism
Is like a beautiful high
The burst of blood
That is what we are
I can see it now
Us draining into all directions
As your feet crash into the ceiling
As our bodies lift into the sky
Upside down
Slime is leaking from the walls
Our voices squeaky
And our eyes are a closing
As we reach for each others' bodies
As we touch and laugh
Falling on top of each other
Becoming one element
This is a dangerous love
And it will consume all that cross its path
It is you
You stare back at me, concerned
"Adam?"
It is you that haunts my daydreams
It is you that is the face, appearing in the sky
Now I lean into you, pinning your wrists to the floor
It is you of which the stars take shape
And I take you
It is you
