Life is so pure in creation
The ravage of age without appearance
Curiosity in such a tiny creature
All the world embraces it with open-stretched arms
Desperately loving the thing
And light seems to be shining through the rainbow
Tiny child of mine
You sleep in your crib
To the melodies of the tape player
As the night rolls on
Each night
Faster than the last
Unaware of the adult world
That which plagues me so
Your skin is too soft to touch
Swaddled in cloth
Momma loves you very much
Sing all the songs
Dance every dance
It is what I always wanted for you
