I woke up
It felt as if I were full of poison
That was new
I grabbed my things and headed out the door
None of the other princes in the castle cared to follow me out or take me home
I walked down the street of darkened houses
It was cold
My lungs felt as if they were on fire
I passed the forest
There appeared a stag
His long strong legs propped himself in the forest
I crossed into the kingdom where we had loved
There was your tower
Where another girl lay asleep in your arms.
I traveled under the telephone lines
Looked up at the Milky Way
There was Arcturus and there was Vega!
I stared for hours
I thought if I looked really hard and really listened
All the forgotten kingdoms could tell me my fate
Those stars were silent and I understood
We had to choose something to forget and something to remember when our souls were born onto this earth
It came to be my turn
I chose to forget safety and to remember awareness
Now a demon that haunts me
She has no name but she is beautiful
She sees all the stars and feels only despair
She was a presence of ethereal beauty
With a kimono the color of lily pond and long, curly hair tinted by the fire
She hid when she noticed you
All you could do was follow her
You didn't know what you were chasing
Maternal warmth?
Ethereal beauty
An aspiring Snow Queen
Lift your hair off your neck
Spray perfume on in the cold
Practice perfect posture and correct the perfect body
Somewhere in the dark snowy hills
Your soul screams
She is tired of perfection
You wear your body and we are trapped
An expressionless face
