Chapter 14

After less than 7 hours of flight from SG to Tokyo, diretso hotel na kami. Kahapon pa dumating sila mommy. She just messaged me the room number of my room and Clark's.

"Can we go out? Let's buy presents for your family. And our ring." He said nung kakatapos kong maligo.

"Sure. And your jackets. Let's buy that first. Baby, ramen tayo?" I asked randomly. He just nodded.

Nagpaalam lang kami kila mommy na lalabas kami para bumili ng jackets. Their room is on a different floor. I think they also respect our privacy. Akala ko dati mapapagalitan ako sa mga gala naming dalawa na kami lang, pero they just said to know our limits. And mom, kept on reminding me na if gagawin namin gumamit daw kami ng protection, I didn't expect that from her, knowing na sobrang active nila sa church sa Bacolod. So I told her na we both agreed to wait until marriage, of course I omitted the makeout session we are doing.

"What did your mom say?" Clark asked nung nasa train station kami.

"Nothing. Ingat daw tayo. Tsk. Bakit hindi ka nagpakita sa kanila. Ngayon ka pa nahiya mag18 years na tayong magkakilala." I said casually.

"But I told them before na babantayan kita." He uttered. I looked at him confused. Ano nanaman bang iniisip ng kumag na 'to.

"Why may nangyari ba sa akin?" I asked with my creased forehead.

"May nangyayari sa atin. Not sex, but almost, right?" He said in a monotone.

"Then, let's stop. And, mom is cool by the way. I told her we agreed that we'll wait." I said calmly. I squeezed his hand nung tahimik sya.

"Do you think they hired someone to have us followed? Election is coming up. I think someone is going against the party." He said randomly. I just stared at him. Wala man kasi akong idea sa mga ganap sa Bacolod.

"Who? As long as they are same ticket we are good." Sagot ko.

"Same pa rin naman. But I heard dad saying malakas daw yung kalaban ng daddy mo. Last term nya right? Second term ni daddy for congress." Sagot nya. I just nodded. He told me stories that were told to him. Sobrang dumi talaga ng pulitika. Dating kakampi pa pala yung kakalaban kay daddy.

"Baby, bagay sayo 'to." I said handling a dark blue puffer jacket. He just get it and another 5 more. Super cute nung mga napili nya. Halatang paporma din ang gago.

We just bought gifts and our ring at a mall. Nag-away pa kami nung more than fifty thousand yung promise ring na gusto nya. So ang ending binayaran nya yung akin, binayaran ko yung kanya. Hindi ko tuloy alam if mapapansin ni mommy yun sa debit card ko, isang transaction 50k+ agad, tapos may mga binili pa akong regalo para sa mga kabarkada namin. After namin bumili ay dumiretso kami sa Ichiran Shibuya branch para magdinner.

"We could have just went to the other branch." He annoyingly said nung one hour na wala pa kaming table.

"Go there, I'll eat here." Sabi ko. He just rolled his eyes on me instead of talking. Pero dahil pagod na akong naglakad buong maghapon ay hinampas ko sya ng malakas. Napatingin tuloy yung mga katabi namin.

"One more word, uuwi ka na ng Pilipinas." I said angrily. Nung nakapasok na kami, we just ate in silence. Nasa tabi nya lahat ng binili namin.

Pagbalik namin ng hotel ay hinatid lang namin yung mga regalo sa kwarto nila mommy at nung mga kapatid ko. They told us na lumabas mamaya para sa countdown ng Christmas. I just told them na pagod na kami. Pagdating sa kwarto ay dumiretso lang akong CR para maligo. Paglabas ko nilagay ko lang sa maleta yung mga ibang binili namin. Pumasok naman sya sa CR. Nahiga na lang ako at natulog.
