Nagrotate na kami sa ibang section. Nasa Hematology section na kami, katabi lang namin yung section ni Clark. So ang ending nakikita ko yung mga harutan nila ni Bea pag hindi toxic. Kaya pag nagtatanong yung staff ng gustong magward nagprepresinta ako. Minsan nga mas gusto ko pang nasa OPD or ER na lang.

"Hey, are you okay?" Gino asked nung nagkasabay kami sa canteen. Kasama ko din naman si Leon.

"Yup. Why?" I asked then smiled.

"Nothing. Review tayo later sa SB?" Tanong na lang nya.

"Sige. Gusto mo sumama Leon?" I asked. Leon just smiled and nodded.

Nung palabas kami ay nakasalubong namin yung dalawa. They are both laughing. Hindi man nga nya kami pinansin.

"Nag-away ba kayo?" Gino asked with a wrinkled forehead.

"No." I simply answered. After kasi nung huling text nya last month hindi na kami ulit nagkatext. He's not even going in my unit. Andun pa nga yung isang labgown nya.

That night, nagdinner lang kami ni Gino at Leon, tapos diretso SB na. By 12 midnight umuwi na kami. Natulog lang ako agad pag-kauwi tapos diretso pasok na naman sa duty. Naiirita na ako sa kanila. This feels weird. For starter, his flings never lasts for a week. Pero kay Bea 1 month na. Not that I am not okay with it, pero bakit bigla na lang nya ako hindi pinapansin. Every friday sa school sa likod sya umuupo.

Sa next rotation namin ay buti malayo na yung section nya. I rarely see him. Sabi ni Gino since CM yung section nya halos OPD or nasa community sya. Naririnig ko pa nga na sinasabi ni Bea na miss na nya si Clark. I don't have the guts to ask her if sila na.

"ER tayo bukas ng duty." Sabi ni Leon. I just nodded.

"You rarely speak or ayaw mo akong kasama?" He asked. Napatingin ako agad sa kanya.

"Not like that. You're okay naman. Funny mo nga e. Hindi lang kasi ako sanay na may iba akong kasama. Sanay ako dun sa dalawa." Sagot ko.

"Don't mind my question ha? Pero you and Clark, are you on a break?" He asked. I was left dumbfounded. I just stared at him for seconds or even minutes.

"Are you?" He asked again.

"No. We are just like you and Bea." I replied.

"So mag-ex kayo?" He asked quickly.

"Wait, mag-ex kayo? I thought best friends?" I confusedly asked. Kasi ganun ang sabi nila sa akin nung first time ko silang nameet.

"Yes. We broke-up before internship. Her family is against our relationship." He answered smiling.

"But, why?" I asked curiously.

"My brother got her sister pregnant. Pero ayaw nila magpakasal. So ang ending sa amin binuhos yung sama ng loob nila. But we remain best friends, I guess." He said then smiled a little.

"You didn't fight for that relationship?" Tanong ko. Pero parang hindi pa nagsisink-in mga sinasabi nya.

"I did. She said she's tired. And I don't want to lose her so I accepted the friendship." He said.

"So wait, anong reaction mo pag nakikita mo sila ni Clark? I mean the break up is still fresh." Tanong ko.

"It hurts of course. But as long as she's happy, I am okay. Ikaw ano ba reaksyon mo?" He asked back.
