Chapter 42

The next day we woke up early to fix our wedding license. Apparently we have to wait for 24 hours after getting our license before we can get married. Sobrang biglaan. Pero at some point feeling ko naisahan nya ako, ready sya. May dala syang documents nya. Natatawa na lang sa amin si Gino.

The next day we went to the city hall, bumalik kami para sa kasal na talaga. Pero nauna kami nung tatlo. May aayusin  daw kasi si Gino at Clark. And, I have no idea ano na naman plano nila. Hawak naman nung kapatid ko si Clarine.

"You sure about this, cous?" Kath asked. I just smiled genuinely.

"Of course. Tska ano ka ba ikaw nga nagsasabing 'wag ko ng pakawalan si Clark dati." I said laughing.

"Yeah. I mean. You're like soulmates. Pero this is kinda rush. Pero if you are really sure, you got our support. Fuck, our clan. It's your life, live the way you want it to be remembered." She said crying.

"Nakamove-on ka na ba?" I asked curiously. Kasi never syang umiyak sa harap ko o ni Gino.

"Yes. Totally over him. I just realized there's a lot who's better. The fuck, bakit ko sya pinatulan. Kasalanan 'to ni lolo. I mean hello, on a normal basis hindi ko sya mapapansin. He's not smarter than me, he's not even handsome. Mas gwapo pa sila kuya Clark tska si kuya Gino." She blurted. Napatingin ako agad sa kanya.

"E bakit mo pinatulan?" I asked curiously.

"At first para tigilan nila ako. Then, days or weeks after I started liking his jokes, maybe. But, I'm totally over him. I'm actually moving on from someone other than him." She murmured.

"What?!" I asked shocked.

"Yeah. I'll tell you when it's time. I met him once, after nung pumasa ako ng boards. God, it's weird I'm moving on from someone I just met once. But cous, he's super gwapo. He's like McSteamy and Mcdreamy in one." She said smiling. WTF, pwede pala yun. You'll fall in love with someone you just met once.

"E saan mo nameet?" I asked curiously. Grabe, parang pati ako kinikilig sa kanya.

"Cebu. After I caught my ugly ex cheating on me, I went to a bar. Then, I met him." She uttered.

"So, iniwan mo?" I asked confused.

"Yeah. Anyway, anong plano mo after ng kasal nyo?" She asked again.

"Uuwi muna sya. I'll finish my residency here." Nakangiting sabi ko. She just nodded.

After thirty minutes ay dumating na yung dalawa. Clark wore a navy blue suit paired with a brown oxford leather shoes. His hair is properly fixed. Natawa na lang ako kasi mas ready pa sya. Thank God, napapayag ako ni Kath na bumili ng long white dress at Valentino heels. She even had a flower arranged for me. At ang gaga, may belo pa.

"Ang pogi mo a." I said teasing him nung naglalakad kami papasok sa hall ng pagkakasalan.

"And you're the most beautiful woman here. Chicks naman nung misis ko." He said laughing, then intertwined our fingers.

"Do you take Celine Amira Dela Merced to be your wedded wife, to live together in marriage? Do you promise to love her, comfort her, honor and keep her for better or worse, for richer or poorer, in sickness and health, and forsaking all others, be faithful only to her, for as long as you both shall live?" The clerk asked.

"I do." He said sweetly. Then winked at me. Baliw talaga.

"Do you take Clarkson Tiger Gomez to be your wedded husband, to live together in marriage? Do you promise to love her, comfort her, honor and keep her for better or worse, for richer or poorer, in sickness and health, and forsaking all others, be faithful only to her, for as long as you both shall live?" The clerk again asked.
