Chapter 20:I'm Sorry

"Tori we need to find Bucky before anything else happens to him" Steve said coming over to me, putting his hands on my arms

"Thats fine but I'm taking no part of it" I said shaking Steves arms off of me and walking out of meeting room

"Tori" Steve called after me but I kept walking shedding a tear wiping it away quickly

"Let her go" Tony said putting his hand on Steve's shoulder "Its to hard" I could hear Tony talking about my troubles but he has no idea what I've really been through. What he put me through but no I say one thing and I'm not right

"I'm sorry Steve" I whispered never looking back

I ran the rest of the way to my room, slamming my door shut and locking it. "AGH" I screamed and screamed, "Why, why, why, why" I just kept repeating everything that came to my mind

I walked over to grab my wine but I remembered I had whiskey farther under the bed, I grabbed that instead. I flicked the cap off and just started drinking. I plan on burying myself down so deep not even I'll be able to find myself again

I have to break things off with Steve and then get the hell away from New York as fast as I can. Before I knew it, my whiskey was already gone and I felt peachy as ever. 'Knock knock' my door made a noise

"Who is it?" I asked not wanting really to be in anyones presence

"Its Steve" the man said pushing me away from the door and entering my room

"Good just who I wanted to see" I said sarcasim lacing my voice

"Whats wrong?" he asked coming over to me and sitting on the bed next to me

"Oh it really isn't that obvious" I said looking him dead in the eyes

"Are you drunk?" he asked shocked

"Nooooo I'm fucking high" I said lifting my fingers to symbol a cigerette

"Seriously?" he asked

"Steve we're over" I looked him dead in the eye never breaking our eye contact

"What?" why is it always him questioning me

"Did you not understand me?" I asked cocking my head to the side "WE ARE OVER" I stood up and looked at the door "Now out" I pointed at the door and watched as Steve left my room leaving me alone in my drunken state

I need a game plan, I need a helicopter, money, some where to lay low for as long as it takes. I will help Steve find his friend, I can at least do that for him after everything I've put him through

I walked down to the meeting room and looked around the room, "Lets find James I have things to do" I said crossing my arms looking into Tony's eyes

"Right well his last known location was in Siberia but he probably isn't there anymore" Tony had Jarvis project a map and had pinpoints on it. Tony pointed to Siberia, Hungary, and Brooklyn

"Okay when we have a location call me other wise don't bother me" I walked out of the room and back up to my bedroom

I grabbed a notebook and started writing my plan, I would use my Iron Man suit and fly where ever I want. It would be less obvious than a huge jet, I would pull as much money as I could the day I leave and then I would be off. I'll need to disable all tracking devices in my suit and I'll leave all my personal belongings home

I don't know what Tony did and didn't put a tracker in, I would rather be safe than sorry. I went down into the lab, "Jarvis pull out Suit 100" I looked towards the wall and watched as my suit emerged from the wall

"Okay time to get to work" I stretched my head back and looked up at the ceiling "Better safe than sorry again Jarvis blackout"

"Lab blackouted" The robotic voice said

I popped off pannels and the took out every tracking device I found, holy shit Tony really doesn't trust this world. Or he doesn't trust me but who cares. I put my suit back behind the wall and took Jarvis out of blackout mode

I got back up to my room and crossed off one thing off my list, I only have 3 more things to do. "Tori Tony is calling you" Jarvis told me

I shoved my notebook in my hiding spot and walked out of my room, lets get this shit over with. The sooner I leave this place the better, "You called" I said entering the meeting room without having any emotion in my voice

"We found James" he said a smile on his face

I looked over at Steve, he didn't have his normal smile on his face anymore. I put that on him but hopefully bringing back his friend will make him cheer up and forget all about me

"Good lets go get him" I walked out of the room, suiting up and meeting everyone on the quinnjet. The quicker we finish the mission the faster, I can get out of this hell hole and let everyone move on

When everyone was on the quinnjet everybody was looking at me except Steve, I hope he does know this hurts me too and not just him. "Wheres Yelena?" I asked looking around the room, averting my eyes away from Steve, remember he needs to think I don't care anymore

"She left she went her seperate way" Nat said crossing her arms over her chest, giving me a death stare

"Cool" I said looking back out the window, staring off into space. Letting a single tear slide down my face and wiping it away quickly to not let anyone see it

I need to be strong for this little thing I'm attached too and for myself, I need to survive and be strong no matter what happens. Death or living I need to leave as soon as we get back to the tower
