Chapter 40:Criminal in the Eyes of my Brother

The quinnjet was only about two miles away from the train station so it wasn't that bad of a walk. "So you choose me?" I asked flushing at the cheeks

"Well I was more happier with you than I was with Sharon" he took my hand in his leading me onto the jet

"Thank you" I gave him a smile, walking up to the co-pilot seat. "So where to?" I put on the headphones, waiting patiently for Steve to sit next to me, hoping he would put his hand on my thigh

"Sydney" He threw his headphones on and gave me a smile

"W-W-What" I choked out "Why whats going on there?" I was more worried now than ever before

"We need to fight some chitari and its nothing we can't handle" he said. I couldn't help but let my leg start to jump in worry, if the Chitari get past Sydneys border Anya would be in danger again "Hey its okay we'll be okay" Steve said trying to calm my nerves

He put his hand on my thigh, I shook him off and took my headphones off quickly. Getting out of my seat, I walked the length of the jet a few times trying to regain my breath. I felt hands on my shoulders, trying to rebalance me

"Hey breath its going to be okay" Steve had brought me into his arms and then did I notice I had tears falling down my cheeks. I shook my head

"Steve we have to stop the Chitari" I said my voice hoarse

"We will don't worry" he was running his fingers through my mangled hair "I promise nothing will happen to the rest of the world"

If only that stays true, "Okay lets get to this fight" I returned to the co-pilot seat and put my headphones back on. I waited for Steve to put his headphones on before I talked "Lets promise each other no more secrets" I half asked, half pleaded

"I think that sounds like a good idea" he turned his head and gave me a smile. He leaned in and gave me a sweet and tenderly kiss

"Alright now that, thats settled lets get to the land down under" I just had to throw in that title for the country

"Thats sounds like a plan" he took the jet off of auto-pilot and took the controls. I have to say being so close to Steve again is feeling amazing, to have his smell and presence near me. Now all we need is Anya and we will be a happy family together but the real question is how do I tell Steve he has a daughter

We sat in silence until we started to land, "Your suit is in the back now go get changed while I land." I got out of my seat and walked into the back

"Hey watch it" I yelled at him, falling down on the ground

"Sorry" he shouted back at me

I was jumping around like fish out of water, trying to get into my suit. This is alot harder when the pilot isn't that good of a pilot in the first place, "You know maybe you would have better luck landing this thing if it was on auto-pilot" I shouted at him. Maybe Steve will take my advice

"Oh just get dressed and shut up" he yelled back at me while his eyes wondered on me before turning back out the window

I walked back up to the seats and hit Steve on the back of his head, "What was that for?" he asked

"You need a lesson on flying" I said sitting in my seat and pulling on my seatbelt being over exaggerated

When I got off the plane everyone was in their superhero outfits and ready to fight. "So we are here to take down the Chitari and keep the damage to a minimum" Tony said taking off in his red and gold suit face plate

"Please be careful" Steve said looking at me

"I'll try" I gave Steve a quick smile before turning my back to him. I went off in one direction being followed by Bruce
