Chapter 50:Tourists

I stood up and put Anya on my hip, holding out my hand for Steve to grab onto but he didn’t.  Once he was standing up he grabbed my hand and dragged me out of the kitchen, “Guys lets go for breakfast” I yelled to get Tony and Nat’s attention 

Nat, and Tony came running into the mudroom.  Getting their shoes on, and running out of the house.  “Hurry up Tori” Tony called after me 

“I’m coming” I said not like he heard me, I walked out with Anya, and Steve locking the house and grabbing the car keys.  Tony, and Nat were already sitting in the backseat of the car waiting impatiently 

“Go on ahead and get buckled up,” I said, putting Anya down on the ground.  Steve kept walking but I stopped him.  I swung his arm back around, and he was now facing me 

“Steve wait” I said looking up into his big blue eyes

“Yeah?” he asked  

“Can we agree that nothing will come between us again please?” I asked not breaking our eye contact

I knew full well that we had an audience in the car watching our every move, but when Steve and I are like this it really doesn’t matter.  Nothing besides us exists in this moment of time, and nothing will break us apart

“I promise my love” he said putting his forehead against mine

“I love you” I said our eyes only a few inches apart and our lips even closer, our noses touching.  I let my eyes drift down to his lips and we leaned in closer, tilting my head one way so we fit more together in our perfect way

Our lips inching closer every second passed by, until they finally connected.  Our lips molding back together, in this perfect little world everything is perfect.  Why does it have to end 

A car horn went off in the background, making us pull apart from each other.  We stared into each others eyes, never looking towards the car full of family

I pulled away from Steve and gave him a smile, before leading him to the car.  I opened the driver's side door and he went to get in “What do you think you're doing?” I asked my hands on my hips 

“Driving” he said innocently 

“No my car, different country, and our child is in the back” I said listing reasons on my fingers why he couldn’t drive to the cafe “Also you don’t know where we are going” I said smiling innocently 

“Fine,” He said, moving towards the back seat door, and getting in next to Anya, and Tony.  I put the car in drive and drove off towards the city

I was just driving along when Tony yelled, “Your on the wrong side of the road”

“No I’m not” I yelled back giving him death glares through the rearview mirror 
  
“We drive on the right side of the road” he yelled again 

“Yeah in America we are in New Zealand” I said calming myself down looking back onto the road

I drove the rest of the way ignoring Tony screaming in the back about driving on the wrong side of the road.  ‘Just get to Mama’s without killing your brother’ I kept telling myself and that's what I did 

Once we got to Mama’s I let out a big breath, I put my head against the steering wheel.  “Are you okay?” Nat asked 

I lifted my head, “yeah” I said smiling “just trying to remember how much I love my brother” a smile crept across her face, while a scared look came over Tony’s 

“Mama’s” Anya yelled from the backseat, shaking the car

“Alright, alright let’s go” I said, getting out of the car and bringing everyone inside.  Once inside I was greeted with a huge smile.  “Charlotte” I said running over to her and bringing her into a big hug
