The Secret Sister

Chapter 35:Untouched

I had gotten to the kitchen and everyone was in there, Tony sitting next to an empty chair, Nat on the other side of the empty chair. I walked over between them, I looked around the room and everyone didn't look happy to have me back and roaming around

"What did you need we were all busy" Clint said rudely

I took a deep breath and looked at him "I came to clear my name and explain why I did everything I did" I looked down at the floor, twiddling with my fingers. "I didn't mean a single thing I told any of you and I apologize for everything I did and I know that won't cover it but if you'll let me I would like to regain your guys trust"

Everyone in the room looked at each other, "Like Tony said earlier you have five minutes" Clint looked me dead in the eyes

"Thank you" I gave him a smile.  "I said the things I said because I knew that when I went to take down the red room that if I just disappeared you guys would come looking for me and I couldn't let you guys get hurt. It was my battle to handle and you guys had your own problems to take care of so I left"

I looked around the room, "So why did it take you so long?" Bruce asked knowing full well why it took me so long. I gave him a death glare, my eyes squinting daggers at him

"I had some emergency arise that took place over my mission" I tore my attention away from Bruce, looking back to the rest of the avengers

"I hope everything is okay" Bruce added on to his original question

"Yes it is no thanks to you" I said venom lacing the word you

"Wow, are we missing something?" Tony asked looking between Bruce and I

"Nothing" I quickly shot back

"Taking down the red room was my number one priority and I had to take Dreykov down before letting him get back into my life" I looked at Nat sorry to bring up our past "I had to go through endless amount of things to take down Dreykov but it was all worth it because now every little girl is safe from him and the red room" I thought back to Anya

What would have happened if Anya got taken by the red room, she would be the daughter of their greatest possession. The best success they had, had in decades, they would have used her and broken her. If Anya was taken they would break her little sweet and innocent heart, I would kill anybody who got in my way. I will protect Anya always and forever, if it's the last thing I ever do

"Fine you had the right motives but what you did was not the best so we can work on it, regain the trust you broke" Tony said taking my hand in his

I looked up at him, a tear rolling down my face "Thank you" I leaned over and hugged him. Taking in this small victory I got from coming back home, now I only need to bring Anya home and the rest of my family will be whole again

Tony was called away for something to do in the lab, leaving me alone in the kitchen with the rest of the Avengers. "If you'll excuse me I'll be in my room" I said slowly backing backwards out of the kitchen

When I got to my room, I closed the door, sliding down it. I let out a long breath, not realizing I've been holding one in, I let my head rest against the door. Closing my eyes for a few minutes

There was a knock at the door, 'Can't I get a damn minute to myself' I got up and opened the door. Not the face I was hoping to see but Nat will do

I moved aside letting her in, "Hey I came to see how you were doing?" she asked pulling out a bar still, sitting on it

"I'm doing okay" I don't know how else to explain how I'm feeling without going fully into my secrets

"Oh your that board" she gave me a smirk, behind that smirk I could tell something was burning in her eyes. Something was itching to come out and be released

"Go on spit your question out ask away" I told her, her face blank by my bluntness

"Okay" she took a deep breath, I turned my back from her, waiting for a questions.

As I was looking around my room, I noticed it was never touched, or not that I could see. My clean dishes, still in the dishwasher, waiting to be unloaded. The bed made from never being touched the night I left

"Where were you hiding?" she asked having me turn around and look back at her

"Well I started I'm Budapest where you almost caught me" I said watching the wheels turn in her head

"What when?" She was in utter shock, her mind working in overdrive. "Its impossible I could never find you"

"You and I were at the same supermarket if you would have just turned around you would have found me and my biggest secret."  I looked down at the floor, picturing my big stomach stretched out

"We were that close and I didn't know" I tore my gaze from the non-exsist baby bumb, looking back at her

"Yeah but I kept my back to you to whole time"

"But I asked everybody if they saw you and they all said no." Pieces slowly being put back together

"Yes I paid them all well to keep quiet about me" I gave her a smirk sounding a little like my brother

"So that's how you got away with it and what's your biggest secret?" She asked curious now that her and I are back to talking like we used to

"You'll have to wait and see" I gave her a pondering look and turned back around

"Oh your good" she pointed her finger at me

"I know" I said a smirk on my face, turning though slowly into a smile before a laugh escaped my lips

"Okay I'm being called I'll see you around" she said leaving the room, closing the door behind her

Once Nat was gone I went through my cupboards, the food stale and old. When I said nothing was touched it really wasn't touched, I'm scared to open the fridge up. I left the fridge for tomorrow, today I had enough and was ready for a little break from everything
