Chapter 10:The Date

I just stood in awe and same as him "You look beautiful" I heard him say coming over to where I was standing

He handed me a bouquet of flowers and I took them smiling at him, "Thank you they are beautiful" I said giving him a kiss on the cheek

I walked over and put the flowers in a vase that I had under my sink, I walked back over and took Steve's hand in mine. We walked out of my room and down to the tower where everyone was in the living room talking and laughing

I tried sneaking out but there was no use Tony saw us and walked over to where I was standing with Steve. "Where do you think your going" he said looking me up and down

I rolled my eyes and gave him a smile "Out" I said walking away but he stopped me in my tracks

"With him" he said looking at Steve

"Yes now if you don't mind" I said pulling Steve along leaving Tony standing in the hallway by himself looking at us as we walked into the elevator and left the tower

We walked out and I saw his motorcycle, he grabbed his helmet and handed it to me. I looked at it "Put it on" he said laughing a little. I listened and put it on, its a good thing I didn't curl or straighten my hair because I would have major helmet hair when we get off. Steve got on his bike first and extended his hand waiting for me to get on

I took his hand and hoped on, "Hold on tight" he said starting the motorcycle and pulling away from the curb. We drove through the city and I watched as everything flew by my eyes

We finally stopped outside of some building and Steve helped me off, we were outside of a Italian restraunt and it looked closed nobody was here and all the lights were dimmed. Steve took my hand and led me inside, there were candles lit everywhere and on the table there was flowers in the middle. There was glasses with champange in them

I looked at Steve and had a smile on my face "Its amazing" I said walking over to my seat. Steve pulled it out and pushed me in just like a gentleman, this man is so sweet

I watched as he sat down across from me and waved his hand, a waiter brought out a plate to us each. It was fettuccine alfredo my favorite Nat must have told him. "I hope its okay Nat said it was your favorite" he said giving me a smile

"I love it" I said grabbing his hand and smiling back

"Okay good" he said he pulled my hand up and kissed it causing me to smile bigger

I pulled my hand back and picked up my glass, I raised it and Steve did the same "To us" I said clinking our glasses together

"To us" Steve said meeting my glass in the middle before taking a drink of it

We finished the meal and it was delicious "Thank you for this" I said giving him a smile before a grin appeared on his face

"You didn't think I was done did you?" he asks tilting his head to the side

"No" I said tilting my head to meet his

Just when I was starting to lose myself into his eyes 2 waiters came out and took our plates and replacing them with choclate mousse. I looked at Steve "What did I do to deserve this" I said smiling taking a bite of the dessert

"You were you" he said smiling back at me eating his dessert too

We finished our dessert and Steve helped me out of my chair leading me to the entrance of the restraunt. Instead of walking to the motorcycle like I thought he would. He actually brought me across the street to a park

The park was empty except for a few couples and runners but it was nice and peaceful. There was a light breeze that made me a little cold but I didn't mind it, we walked around this pond

We were holding each other hands and smiling at each other "So anything interesting about you?" Steve asked looking into my eyes

"I-I" I stuttered looking away and down at the ground, I almost just spilled my secrets to him "Nothing interesting beside hiding from you" I said trying to rebound from me freaking out

"I don't believe you" he said stopping and lifting my chin up so I look into his eyes

"Well thats all your getting out of me" I said pulling away and looking away from him

I could feel my past coming into my mind and I had to shake it, I take my hand out of Steve's and put it to my head before sitting down on a park bench. I put my head in both my hands and just concentrated on what I normally do, I thought of how simple life used to be before mom and dad died

I could feel Steve sit next to me and try to get me to look at him but I couldn't, I was trying hard not to cry but it wasn't working all the way. A few tears rolled down my cheeks and I could taste the saltiness from my tears

I felt Steve put his hands on my shoulder and rub them, I looked up at him and wiped the tears from my face before he noticed. "Hey you can talk to me" he said pulling me into a hug

"I know but I can't" I said looking at him

I got cold and started shivering "You cold?" Steve asked looking concerned

"A little" I said watching him as he takes his jacket off and puts it over my shoulders. I put my arms in the sleeves and looked up at him "Thanks" I gave him a smile before standing up and grabbing his hand

"I love you too. Eternally." I used all my strength in the moment, trying to will the words to come out louder, but they were still a mere whisper.

"Eli." His lips crashed onto mine upside down, all the passion of our time apart conveyed in one kiss. It filled me like lifeblood, and my eyes fluttered open.

"I'm fine, Loki. Promise." I started to sit up with his assistance and turned around to see those familiar green eyes boring into my very soul, filled with love and tenderness.

"But... how did you?" He asked, his hand running along my cheek gently, tenderly.

"I told you," I said, dropping the magical disguise I had clung to for oh so long and allowing the orange-red tones spread over my flesh, revealing the hot, blazing blue fire within my eyes and the flicker of light in my long red hair. "You could never hurt me."
