Chapter 34:I'm Sorry

I looked back up and nobody was pleased to see me, "Victoria what are you doing here?" Tony asked, crossing his arms. Him not looking excited at all to have me back in the tower

"I came to make things right" I put my hands behind my back, I turned towards Tony and shoved my hands in his face. "Go ahead cuff me you obviously don't trust me"

I could hear a sigh and a moment of hesitation before feeling the cold, sharp metal touching my skin. My arms being interlaced behind my back, I turned around and instead of seeing Tony it was Steve. "Hello" I tried giving him a smile

Steve didn't say a word or move, just gave me a stink eye. I let my head drop, "Victoria, what do you want to accomplish by coming back here?" Tony asked, coming over to me and grabbing my chin

Lifting my head up, looking into his eyes. "I just want to explain and if you still don't want to see me I'll leave" I tried getting my head out of Tony's grip but it was no use

"Fine you have five minutes" he said, turning his head to look at the rest of the Avengers. "Stay here" he walked away from me. Leaving me standing in the middle of the living room

Steve came back over to me, grabbing me by my arm. "Steve I really am sorry" I tried looking into his eyes but it didn't work, Steve turned his head, looking away from me

I was sat on the couch, left alone in the living room. I sat for a few minutes before being approached by Nat, "Tori, why didn't you just tell us?" she questioned sitting down next to me

"I had to do it Nat, you know I had to" I looked up at her. "I had things to protect, you, Tony, the team" I had a tear fall down my face, "I'm sorry" I started to ball and leaned into her shoulder

"I know Tor" she put her arm around my shoulders, rubbing my arm up and down. "It will all work out, just talk to Tony he may seem pissed but he was worried out of his mind" Nat tilted my head up "He was my biggest support for finding you even the team didn't want to find you but Tony did even though you broke his heart"

I heard someone clear their throat and I looked over my shoulder, Tony was standing there. "You'll be okay," Nat said standing up. She walked out of the room, I was looking Tony in the eye and he was looking me in the eye. "Tony I'm sorry" I begged

"Tori I know" he walked over to me and sat next to me. I was brought into a hug "I missed you so much" he said

"I missed you too" I tried moving my arms but they were still handcuffed behind my back. "I'm so sorry I promise I'll explain" I looked up at him, Tony had tears in his eyes, begging to be released

"I know I will always welcome you back, I know what I did to you in the past and I won't do it again" he took a long deep breath, trying to keep his tone solid. "And I know that I'm Howard and I apologize for that, I was just trying to help you and make you feel better. Mom and dad left us and I was just trying to make sure you would be loved and I guess I turned into dad trying to become mom"

Tony was trying so hard not to cry, "It's okay" I said tears falling from my eyes. "I'm sorry I left I didn't know what to do, I was afraid and felt like I couldn't come to you it was my problem to handle and only my problem" I tried to bring my hands to my face again but they were tied before my back

Tony reached behind my back and unhooked my hands, I wrapped my arms around my big brother. "You can always come to me no matter what your issue is, I promise" he rubbed my back as I cried into his shoulders. Staining his black shirt, water pools expanding on his shoulders

We stayed in each other's embrace, crying into each other's shoulders. Our eyes all red and puffy, our faces blotchy from our tears. "Tori we need to talk to the team, you'll have to explain why you did everything you did" Tony sat me up and wiped my tears away
