The next morning, Dante headed downstairs to Vito's. Scoping it out, he made his way to the back of the restaurant.
One of the appeals the new apartment had was that the townhouse he purchased was nearby. If he needed to, he could get to it fairly quickly. The main appeal, though, was the proximity to this place. He wanted to know what went on in here, expecting that Vito must have told or involved others in his father's scheme.
Sitting at the last booth, he faced the wall. It was divided into two, with the bottom half covered in paneling and a mirror that ran along the top half. He could see everyone behind him and the front counter. Picking up the menu, he hid most of his face from the reflection.
