Dante
Dante sat in the study. He sat there a while, with his hand over his chin. Finally, in one decisive move, he pulled out a document from one of the drawers. The one he had taken from Marcello's office. He looked at the date on the bottom and set it down.
It eluded him why his father had chosen Fox Hollow in the first place. They had never been here before and there wasn't much of a receiving audience for them either. His father claimed that it was to find a city where they could get away from the rumors and the killings for a while, but then he announces that auditions will be held. It was all sudden. Normally, he could see where his father was going with his plans and try to get ahead, even if he did fail, but this was one move he hadn't seen coming.
After the announcement, he and Marcello had somehow become best of buds. Standing outside the office one day, he saw them shake hands and Marcello walked away to his office with this document. That same night, a photo of Vivianne appeared on the theater wall.
A knock came at the door and Morris stepped in. Dante placed the document back into the drawer and closed it.
"Just got back from the airport. Thanks again for letting my mom come and stay here." Morris said, stepping aside to let his mom walk in. "My mom, Carlita."
"This is taking longer than I would like and I don't know when it will end." Dante replied, standing up and walking over.
"As long as you catch him and take him down." Carlita said, restraining her anger.
"I will. Whatever it takes." Dante replied.
