"K-Kou!" I sighed lightly, already annoyed with that voice as we turned to see Eva. "I need your help, please?" She begged, clinging onto Kou. I tugged onto Kou's shirt to get his attention but he ignored it, looking at Eva worryingly.
The nerves you have Mukami Kou.
"What happened? Are you ok?" He asked, causing me to look at him confused. He's using his fake tone instead of his actual voice...
Of course, knowing Kou has its peak.
Eva smirked at me secretly before pouting looking at Kou. "My house got robbed! I'm too scared to go inside." She whined, hugging him. I was about to step in when I heard Emilio yawn, rubbing his eyes lightly.
"Kou... Emilio is tired." I sighed, picking the boy up. "Let's go home." I said as I was about to hold his hand but Eva held his wrist tightly.
"Kou please?" She begged, looking like she's on the edge of tears. The idol sighed heavily, not liking the situation as he turned over to me with an apologetic look.
"I'll see you at home, let me calm her down." Kou said, causing me to frown. "Don't gimme that look, I'll be quick." He added, but I was too focused on Eva's evil glance.
Two can play this game.
I sighed lightly, turning my back. "Just know that if you're not back by 11, I won't let you have your way with me." I started, as Kou lightly chuckled.
"Is that an invitation?" Kou cooed before hugging me from behind. "I won't be late ok?" He pecked my cheeks before looking at our son. "Emi sleep well, ok? Daddy will make you breakfast tomorrow, ok?"
"Okay!" Emi nodded at his offer as he hugged us one more time before leaving with Eva.
The cold glare she gave me was something that I couldn't help but smile too.
After parting ways, I safely got home as I got the young vampire ready for bed. I glanced at the time, seeing it's been an hour since I saw Kou.
"Daddy will come back, don't worry." Emilio said, hugging my arm. I giggled, nodding with him.
"Emi I seriously don't know what I'll do without you." I sighed softly, playing with his hair. "I'm glad to have you." He smiled wildly at my words as he snuggled up close to me, gradually going to sleep.
Click!
I looked at the door to see Kou, who waved lightly at me, but I pouted looking away from him.
"M-Neko chan, don't gimme that look." He whined, kneeling in front of me. Before I could speak, he rested his head on my lap, lightly sighing. "...She lied."
"Huh?" I looked at him confused as he chuckled, looking up at me. "What do you mean?"
"The moment she started speaking, I knew she was lying." He started before it finally came to me; he used his magic eye.
No wonder he was talking in that tone.
"And yet you followed another woman." I huffed, shaking my head.
"You're not jealous or something?" He asked as I looked at him surprised. "You know my heart beats for you. Eva isn't you, so I have no reason to go to her." I sighed, still not wanting to let Kou into this bad beef me and Eva have.
"It's nothing, I trust you." I said, running my fingers through his hair. "You haven't used the eye on me right?"
"I have no reason to." He answered, before standing up. "But anyway, time for bed, I'm off ."
"Huh?" I looked at him confused, as he raised his eyebrows, smiling mischievously.
"Didn't you say I'm sleeping on the couch tonight?"
