Y/N POV

"So... You're wondering if you should see your brother?" I summarised his story as he nodded. His brother was falsely accused of attempted murder but as new evidence was found pointed towards him, this made Nik found hard to believe if he was innocent.

"You know how close we are... You remember him." He started, playing with his sleeves. "I know he's innocent... but it's hard to explain."

"Yeah... I remember him." I sighed, looking down. It was thanks to those two that helped me raised Emilio when I was alone. "I do miss him..." Muttering as I turned around, I saw that both Kou and Emilio are both missing. I panicked a but looking around.

"{Y/N}? Is everything okay?" He asked, looking at my worried face. They were literally just nearby, how do they go just like that?

"Emilio... H-He's gone-! We need to look for him!" Nik paused, looking at me for a good few seconds before he chuckled whilst patting my back. "What's funny? Come on!"

"Don't worry. It is not like you gave him to someone you don't trust." I looked at him as I grabbed his hand and dragged him with me.

"It's not that I don't trust him, they're still strangers." I muttered. It was painful but sadly the truth. "Emilio!" I shouted, shaking my head. However, I didn't get any reply as I looked around hopelessly. Where are they? "Emilio!"

"{Y/N}! Over here!" I heard Kou's voice, as I sighed at ease. Nik gave me the 'told you so' look as I rolled my eyes before turning to see the two standing near a tiger's cage. I ran to them, hugging Emilio tightly as he giggled, hugging his mother back.

"Mummy!" He cooed as I looked up at him, feeling him play with my hair. "Were you looking for me? Daddy wanted to show me the animals while waiting for you." I half smiled before nodding, playing with his hair too.

"You got me worried, sorry." I sighed before looking at Kou. "You could have let me know Kou." I frowned as he grumbled, rubbing his forehead.

"{Y/N}, I think you're being dramatic." Kou muttered, as I looked at him confused.

"You're not the only one who thinks that.." Nik agreed, making me scoff, as I stood up, holding the child in my arms.

"I'm... not. I-It's not like you told me that you were leaving." I reminded, looking away from the pair of them.

Me? Dramatic? Pffft-

"I'm sorry? Look." He went over to us as I paused, seeing how close he was, as he pressed his forehead against mine. I bit my lip, seeing it was one of his ways of asking for forgiveness as I blushed slightly, looking away.

"Fine... you're forgiven." I quickly stepped back, feeling my heart beat pacing up as I cleared my throat trying to calm it down.

He's got Eva... Get it in your head...

"A-Anyway, Nik, what are you planning to do now?" I changed the topic, placing Emilio down so he can see more zoo animals.

"Well, obviously persuading you on a date isn't going to work-" He started but Kou scrunched his nose.

"- Of course it won't." He interrupted, folding his arms. I face palmed before turning to face him.

"Kou, it was a joke." I shook my head as he nervously scratched his head. "Right, Nik, See you."

"Bye, {Y/N}~" he teased, kissing my cheek. I went red in shock as I looked away. "Bye Emilio!"

"Bye Uncle Nik!" He waved back. I smiled a bit as I glanced at Kou who just nodded at Nik before looking away.

"I don't like him." He said, as I shook my head. I opened my mouth to speak but decided to shake the urge to say something back.

"Thought so." I muttered. "But let's go, guys!" I said, cheerfully. "After all it's Yuma's Birthday."

"Yeah!" Kou agreed. "Let's hurry up." I nodded as we walked quickly towards then, after someone search.

"Has Little Sow ate yet?" Yuma asked, the moment he saw us.

"Yeah. He's better now, aren't you, tiger?" Emilio laughed as he roared like a tiger, meaning yes.

"She really needs to learn how to trust people..." Kou muttered to Eva. I'm telling you, he's trying to take my son away from me! I won't let that happen. I ignored it as I poked Emilio's face.

"So where next, guys?"

"-Actually, {Y/N}, we need a girl day." Eva interrupted.

"Okay. Coming Emilio?-" Just as I was about to say, Eva interrupted again.

"He's staying with his father." She folded Her arms. I frowned. "They haven't seen each other for 3 years you know?"

"... It's 4." I muttered, like that made it better. She looked at me not knowing what I said as I shook my head. "I know, but he's more safe with me." I insisted.

"But Mummy!" He pouted. "I wanna stay with daddy!" I looked at him helplessly and sighed.

"If you insist, Emi." I sighed in defeat. "Just.... Stay away from trouble." I looked at Kou before walking away with Eva.

So annoying! Wasn't this Yuma's birthday?

Edited.
