Third Person POV
Maybe she shouldn't have done that. The girl scratched her head in annoyance as she paced back and forth in her room. No news about {Y/N} being in hospital or recovery progress has been posted making her get worked up.
"Damnit, if she didn't call Kou, I would have finished the job." She muttered to herself as she bit her lip.
Wait...
Finish the job.
She's already come this far, there's no holding back. All this way to finally take her place, maybe even her child.
"Ok think, quiet but effective way to end someone." She asked herself before smiling mischievously. Of course, poison.
Giggling to herself, she hurried to her room, looking for effective substances to start her plan. However, with her being on her own, this would be harder than expected. "Didn't think I'll miss Yuuki." She frowned, looking at the picture of the two of them.
They've been friends for life, always having each other's back. But ever since Eva gained an obsession with Kou, Yuuki talked less with her whilst distancing himself from her and she didn't even notice until now. Was he jealous? Or worried about me? She thought, sitting on the bed.
How did she even get to this stage of obsession?
3 years ago...
"Good luck with your audition Yuuki!" Eva cheered, as the two of them stood in front of the building. Yuuki gulped nervously before looking at Eva, needing some encouragement.
"I must be insane, going for this entertainment out of all. I mean, Mukami Kou is there, you think I have a chance?" Yuuki panicked as Eva held his hand, causing the male to blush.
"Forget him, I know how talented you are." Eva reassured him as the male softly smiled. "You got this." Yuuki quickly hugged her, nodding at her encouraging words.
"See you later, you'll be here right?" Eva nodded, as she sat down in the receptionist, waiting for his return. After a few minutes, she felt her tummy rumbling as she decided to go to a nearby café, hoping to get something for the pair of them.
As she was crossing the road, she didn't notice a car was speeding towards her as she looked up, gasping.
"Hey watch it!" A figure pulled her hoodie back, as they watch the car speed past them. Eva blinked before looking back at the individual, who scoffed, letting go of her hoodie. "Please watch the road." He said as he was about to walk off but Eva grabbed his arm, as he looked back at Eva. "Sorry, I'm interested in someone else-"
"I just wanted to say thank you, the hell?" She paused seeing the face; it was the idol himself as he laughed, patting her head lightly.
"You're welcome, but this conversation alone has cost me time." He sighed, getting his phone out. She couldn't help but notice a girl on his wallpaper; she was kinda cute. "Just please, be careful." She nodded, suddenly not having the courage to talk as Kou walked away into the same building Yuuki was in.
Was it love at first sight?
"I've been looking for you, god damn." Her thoughts were interrupted by her friend, seeing the worried expression on him as Eva sighed, looking back at him.
"I'm sorry, I wanted to buy us treats." She frowned, pointing at the cafe store. Yuuki laughed at her adorable face as he nodded, holding her arm as they went to the café together.
Since then, that's where her 'love' for Kou grew. Shaking her head at the flashback, she got up with her things, before heading to the hospital. Knowing that Yuuki was no longer on her side, she brought a face mask, to at least hide her identity. As she entered she quickly paused before hiding in the crowd, seeing Kou and Yuuki, talking/arguing...?
"Kou leave it to the police." Yuuki said, holding onto his arm, but Kou was too angry to reason with him. "If anything happens to you-"
"At this rate, I couldn't care less. I allowed this one, messed up person to hurt my girlfriend under my nose." He backfired, turning to him. "I'm telling you, once I grab her, she'll be begging for mercy."
"Yet your girlfriend is still in the hospital bed? What she needs right now is you by her side, not chasing off this girl." Yuuki heavily sighed as Kou looked away.
"I know but... I can't just sit there doing nothing..." Kou frowned scratching his head. He paused, locking eye contact with the 'hidden' girl as Eva gulped. "Eva? What the hell?"
Yuuki looked over to where Kou was looking before frowning as the two men started chasing her, as she quickly fled.
"Gotcha!" Yuuki yanked her arm, causing her to yelp as she looked up at her best friend, frowning slightly. "What is your problem?"
"Yuuki please let me go." She begged, trying to fight away her tears. "We're best friends..."
"... Best friends don't use each other to gain recognition for a boy." Yuuki muttered, tightening his grip.
"It's a shame that the boy doesn't like you back." Eva gasped hearing Kou's voice, as she quickly looked to the floor.
As much as Kou really wanted to hurt her, Yuuki was right about one thing; {Y/N} needed him more than anything.
"Pray that we never meet again, because if we do..." Kou started, forcing her chin up to face him. "You better be wishing on many stars for your survival."
"I don't know why you go for such a low-life human-"
Smack!
Both Yuuki and Eva looked at the male surprised, as the girl hissed in pain. "What the hell?! Did you just slap me-" She paused seeing the death stare she was getting from Kou as she gulped, looking down quickly.
"You're really getting boring. Don't say I didn't warn you." He scoffed before walking away, heading away from them.
