"3... 2... 1... Ready or not, here I come!" I shouted, removing my hands away from my eyes. I carefully scanned the area, trying to look for the hidden culprit in the area. After checking around the park, something didn't feel right as the giggles he'll usually make weren't to be heard of. Don't tell me... I shook my head.
Again, I went carefully around the area searching for him. "E-Emilio!" I called out.
No answer.
"Not again..." I muttered, knowing what has happened. He ran off again. I stood at the centre of the park, not knowing where he was. That boy of mine...
Silence. This was scaring me and I'm not enjoying it.
"Emilio!" I started to panic, seeing it was 5 minutes and I still haven't found him. "Let's go back home! Mommy is cold!" I decided to go to one area of the park when I heard my son's giggle, making me pause my tracks.
"Hm? What's your name, little one?" I heard a guy's voice. I hid a bit behind the tree, listening to the conversation.
"My name is Emilio, Sir! Nice to meet you!" He replied to which the guy responded to a surprised noise.
Hmm... Why's he surprised..?
Curious, I looked over, trying to examine him before looking at the guy surprised.
"I'm Kou Mukami." Emilio's father... I told Emilio about him whenever he asked about his father. Maybe too much. I covered my face in embarrassment, knowing this child would expose me.
"Wait... So are you my daddy?" He asked, looking at him surprised. "Mommy has told me loads of things about you! Like... like you're a famous idol."
"Yeah... I am." Kou chuckled, still smiling. Any girl would fall in love with him with that smile. I could feel my heart beating, before shaking my head.
"Cool!" Emilio clapped his hand while glazing at him with sparkling eyes. "My dad is an idol!"
"But... Daddy?" He questioned, sounding confused. He examined Emilio carefully from head to toe before chuckling lightly. "Well, you have my hairstyle, kiddo. But... daddy-?"
"Emilio!" I ran out of my hiding spot, deciding to reveal myself. "There you are." I frowned lightly, seeing Kou holding him.
"Mommy! You found me again!" He giggled. I shook my head whilst walking over to him and picked him up gently, tutting lightly.
"You got me worried sick, Mister." I poked his nose. "You need to stop running away, ok?" He nodded as I smiled lightly, patting him. I turned to Kou, finally acknowledging his existence as I bowed lightly. He paused, having no idea how to react as I could see the urge to run up to me. "Thanks, Kou. I'm glad it was you who found him." I thanked him, humming a bit before turning around.
"{Y/N}, wait!" He suddenly grabbed my hand, making me look at him confused as he looked at my face all over, confirming if it was me. He cleared his throat, realising he was showing too much emotions as he shifts his eyes to the boy. "Emilio... He looks like me. So does that mean I'm the father of that child?" I looked away and sighed.
I can't hide it from him forever. After deciding, I glanced at him, nodding.
"Yeah, Kou. You are....." I looked over at my son, whose eyes never left his father's figure, to begin with. "Emilio, this your daddy." I told him.
"This is amazing!" Emilio cheered happily. He let go of me and ran to Kou for a hug as he safely carried him up.
"You named him after me, huh?" Kou chuckled, looking at the boy in awe. Emilio already looked attached to him, since he's usually the shy boy. "How come?"
"Well... when we were together back then, we said that if we had a child, our boy would be called Emilio, or if it's a girl, we'd call her Leona." I said, looking away in embarrassment he laughed.
"That's cute that you remembered." I rolled my eyes as he looked back at his son, playing with his hair. "How old, kiddo?"
"I'm 4 years old!" He said, showing the number 4 with his fingers. "I'm a big boy right?" Kou nodded, also showing a no.4 with his hands.
"A very big boy." He laughed as Kou looked toward me. "{Y/N} how come you haven't told me about him?" I sighed again, knowing this question was bound to come out.
"I haven't got enough time, Kou. Emilio let's go home." I said, making it clear I don't wanna talk about it.
"With Daddy? Please?" Emilio begged as I looked at him surprised.
"Well..." It's hard to say no to him, which he knows. "Go ask Daddy." I sighed in defeat. Emilio smiled and looked at Kou.
"Alright. I'll come." He said making the boy cheer.
