Elijah stood with Daniella in front of the Grill. "Mother is hoping to end us tonight" He informed her in a flat tone. "According to Kol, she will need the power of the full moon to perform the spell"

Daniella knitted her eyebrows together, "But you're all safe, right? She didn't connect you all as she had wanted. I made sure Kol didn't drink the champagne"

She felt the air around them shift and someone grabbed her arm roughly yanking her backwards.

Her green eyes were met with baby blue eyes which she had come to know quite well. His lips formed a perfect sneer as he venomously said, "You ruined it!"

Her eyes widened and she fearfully stuttered throw her words, "What the hell? Damon let go of me!" She tried to command him, but of course to no avail.

It was Elijah who pulled the Salvatore away from Daniella by the neck, throwing him a few feet away and stalked towards him with his hands in his pockets.

"Mr. Salvatore, I thought we had already talked about your interactions with Ms. Redmond here" he leaned down slightly, "But to threaten her in front of me? Are you really that suicidal?"

Daniella let out a tired sigh and made her way to the two vampires. "Can we try and not make a scene?" She suggested softly while her eyes scanned the area around them. Relieved when she saw that there was only a couple of passer-by.

Damon stood on his feet in the blink of an eye, glaring at the original vampire. While Elijah stepped back with a quick glance at Daniella.

She couldn't understand why Damon stared at her as if she had killed his cat, or like she exposed his greatest secrets. It was a look of betrayal and disappointment.

"Damon, you already know about my deal with Elijah. I will help him, as long as I can" She stated firmly trying to add strength into her words.

He only clenched his jaw, noting how Elijah stood next to her with a smirk on his face, while his hand touched the small of her back.

He was not sure what the feeling was, but it was very similar to the one he felt when he saw Elena with Stefan, a bit more maybe. It reminded him of how he felt with Katherine when she was around Stefan.

Damon decided to do the only thing he knew how to do properly. He gave her a smirk, wiggling his eyebrows he said, "You should have said that last night when I spent the night in your bed" The innuendo behind his words was as clear as the day.

Daniella crossed her arms over her chest and her face hardened, "I will not even stoop so low as to talk to you" She put her nose in the air, she whipped her head to Elijah, "Let's talk somewhere else"

She strode back towards the Grill to grab her things and leave with Elijah, who was following Daniella with his eyes, had an amused smirk on his face.

Damon clenched his jaw; he didn't know why he cared about what she did, just like he was still unsure about his night at her room. He should have been able to consider her as an enemy without a second thought, yet he couldn't.

"Leave Daniella alone, Mr. Salvatore. You have no idea who she is and what I will do to protect her" Elijah warned in a threatening tone, which made Damon's nostrils flare.

"Is she your girlfriend or something?" He asked him feigning nonchalance.

Elijah raised an eyebrow, "The nature of my relationship with her is none of your business"

Daniella chose that moment to come out of the Grill. "I'm ready to go" She mumbled softly, refusing to even glance at the Salvatore.

They walked together in slow steps towards her car. Daniella's heart was drumming in her chest. She didn't expect her day to go that way. She was really happy when she and Damon got to talk today, they found something in common other than vampires and stuff.
