Saturdays used to be good days in her week. For some reason this one wasn't being so good to her. She had gone home with Damon, he had waited for her until she showered and changed, only to take her with him to get Alaric from the hospital.

Apparently, the history teacher has been having a hell of his own. Dr. Meridith had insisted on him doing an MRI, which really showed that there was nothing wrong with him.

Also, Elena has been reading Samantha Gilbert's diaries. Daniella didn't know where she had gotten it and she wasn't about to ask when the girl just kept sending mean glares her way.

She had kept to herself all the while, playing the silent companion kind of role with Damon doing all the talking and aggravating everybody.

She was currently in the backseat of Damon's car as he drove Alaric to his apartment. Alaric's eyes caught hers in the rear view mirror, "So, since when did you change sides?"

She crossed her arms over her chest, "I didn't". She retorted strongly.

Alaric raised an eyebrow, "So, you're still with the originals?"

She knitted her eyebrows in feigned confusion, using her most innocent voice she said, "I wasn't aware that making a deal with the originals means you're on their side? Does that mean that Elena is on Elijah's? Stefan's on Klaus'?" She shook her head dramatically but fell silent.

"We were under their thumbs" Alaric replied with gritted teeth.

Daniella was usually calm, very calm that people thought it's unnatural. However, her headache was not going away and she just felt irritable and hungry... So hungry and so very angry.

She wouldn't like to admit it, but Damon's words still affected her. She didn't know she cared as much about what he thought of her, but apparently she did.

Shouldn't my period be here in a day or two?

She groaned at the question in her mind and sank further in her seat, deciding not to dignify Alaric's accusation with a reply.

"They're like the bad evil guys"

He continued and she gritted her jaws, "Said the history teacher on a psychotic serial killer break!" She snapped without even looking away from the window.

She hated herself for doing this, but he kept on pushing her buttons. Daniella had always hated guilt.

"Look" she said nibbling her lower lip, "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have snapped like that"

"I don't think you should be" Damon was the one to reply with an easy shrug, "He was as ass, you were a bitch. In my books I call it fair"

She rolled her eyes at Damon, then looked at Alaric expectedly, "It's fine" Was his only reply to her words.

"Bonnie won't answer Elena, so she will call Caroline. They are going to find something to curb your evil side" Damon stated as he pulled over at the apartment building.

"I think I have a couple of books that might have something useful" Daniella informed and Alaric hesitantly thanked her.

He went to his apartment grabbed few things then Damon drove him to the Gilbert's house. After Alaric went inside, Damon drove Daniella back to her house.

"Why would you have books on curbing evil alter egos?"

Despite his sardonic tone and teasing looks, it was clear to her that the question was serious. She couldn't really blame him for asking, he was still wary of her.
