Damon was lying in bed with Daniella's head on his chest. They have left the others discussing the means by which Elijah would compel Elena's emotions back. Damon was the one who decided that it was time for Daniella to rest. He had gulped the rest of his Bourbon and jolted out of nowhere carrying Daniella like a caveman no less and flashed them to his room.

It had been an hour since then, but Daniella still found herself giggling at the ridiculousness of the whole thing. Damon was tracing an invisible line on her back, when he stopped and raised an eyebrow, "What got you giggling?"

"I just remembered how you carried me over your back like a crazed caveman" she said in a fit of giggle. It warmed his heart; her giggling like she had no worries in the world.

Damon sat straighter, making her sit as well. 'You know I never claimed to be a gentleman" Damon said while wiggling his eyebrows teasingly.

She tilted her head, "Gentlemen are overrated anyway" she said with a grin.

Damon laughed then launched forward so Daniella was lying on her back and her was hovering over her before he started tickling her sides. Daniella was giggling, laughing, and begging him to stop. "Damon..." She said in her fit of giggles, breathless.

Damon stopped what he was doing and stared at her. He was really looking at her. Something about her face, the way she was laughing, and just her forced him to stop and just gaze at her. He never thought he would feel this way every again. Damon thought he knew what love is. He had been in love with Katherine; he was so deeply in love with her. Then there was Elena; he thought she was his humanity, his lifeline.

He believed love was pain, longing, and misery.

It was all he had gotten out of love anyway. However, Daniella came into his life. She wasn't like a hurricane that flipped everything he ever known or believed like Katherine had been, nor was she a soft breeze in a hot summer day like Elena. She was something else entirely.

She was his savior.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" Daniella inquired with a light tone and a confused raised eyebrow.

"I love you". He said softly and captured her lips in his. He had nothing else to say, although the words didn't feel like they delivered all that he was feeling. But he had no grand words and was never an expert in love declarations.

Daniella felt that this kiss was different; every kiss felt different. Damon Salvatore was a whirlwind of emotions, and he always manages to get a new feeling out of her. She wrapped her arms around his neck, pulling him closer to her. It started as one innocent kiss, but it got heated.

Daniella crossed her legs around his waist, wanting to feel every part of him. She had never been turned on by someone like that. Well, she had never been turned on by someone at all. However, she could feel the heat pooling and she grinded her hips to his. Damon moved his hand to cup one of her breasts in his hand. He had been hungry, yearning for her, in so many ways and he didn't know which one to satisfy first.

"Perhaps we ought to leave" Elijah shared a knowing look with Stefan, leaving both bonnie and Jeremy confused.

Bonnie tilted her head to the side, "Shouldn't you compel Elena first?"

"We will, we'll just have to hurry in doing so" Elijah replied stiffly, his face contorted in a way that Bonnie couldn't really understand.

"What's going on exactly?" Jeremy asked, and Stefan's eyes darted to the stairs with a scrunched nose. It seemed that Jeremy got the idea of what was happening, and he shook his head, mumbling something about it not being the time for that.
