Daniella was leaving school, the end of another long day. Tests were coming up and she was out of her wits with all the things she had to study, especially that she barely has enough time to do that now.

Daniella found herself always busy with one thing or the other. Her conversation with Damon the previous day didn't relief her mind from thoughts of him.

She thought about him even more. Everytime she remembers their kiss, the tips of her fingers would caress her lips slowly and a stupid grin would overcome her face.

He stayed with her for a couple of hours after their talk. They talked about Alaric and what they should do from now on. She felt the same was she did when they were friends, but with more feelings.

Elena had called Damon asking for his help with Jeremy, who was attacked by Kol after he aggravated him. He jumped right away and went to save the day.

It left Daniella a bit unsettled, but she tried to understand. Tried...

"Your head is in the clouds". The voice of Jeremy surprised her. He should up unexpectedly behind her while she was walking to her car.

With her hand on her chest she turned to him, "give me a fucking heart attack, why don't you?"

Jeremy laughed and they resumed walking together. "You didn't show up yesterday, Lisa told me you were supposed to meet at the Grill"

"Ah, yes!" She didn't show up indeed. After Damon left she was extremely exhausted and fell asleep on her couch. "Thought I'd give you some time together" She winked and they both leaned on her car.

He raised an eyebrow at her, "Yeah right. Like you didn't know that Kol attacked me and I was like an hour late"

She could hear a certain disapproval in his tone, but she decided to ignore it. "You have to stop using the Gilbert ring, Jeremy. It's fucking up Alaric"

Jeremy chuckled humorlessly, "I would be dead before dawn then".  There was a moment of silence, followed by a sigh, "I'm worried about you"

She raised an eyebrow at him, "Seriously? You have enough to worry about as it is"

"Damon is bad news Dany, he's all bad. There's nothing good there. You didn't see what he did to this town"

"I know." She furrowed her eyebrows, "But I'm not a ray of sunshine either" she shrugged her shoulder, "everyone in this town is bad in way. Actually, everyone on this world has both sides. You tried to find a way to kill the Originals despite knowing you'd be killing all their bloodlines, Jer. How's that any better?".

"This is different" he argued weakly.

"It's not! Don't be a hypocrite" she stood straighter, "I understand you want to keep Elena safe; she's your sister. But can't you see that we all have motives for our actions, even Damon, even Klaus"

Jeremy was about to argue, but Daniella's cell rang. She looked at the caller and read aloud, "It's Damon."

"How fast can you show up at the boarding house?" His tone was urgent and serious.

Her eyebrows knitted, "What happened?"

"We'll talk when you come over"

He hung up and Daniella shared a worried look with Jeremy who with an equally concerned tone asked her, "What happened?"

"I don't know but something is happening in the boarding house and I have to go"

She replied in a rush, and got in the driver's seat to start the car. Only for Jeremy to join her, closing the door with a loud thud.
