Dawsey: Starting a Family Part 2

Chapter 161

Matt's POV: After making my way downstairs, I went to go to the door to see who it was. Looking outside, I saw it was Christie and Violet. Violet was still in a walking boot after that fire but...Christie now had sole custody. Quickly opening the door, I spoke to them. "Listen, I just need to talk to Gabby quick. I am going to see if you guys can come in or not?" 

My sister then looked at me. "C'mon Matt, seriously?" I then glared at her. "Gabby has a compromised immune system because she's pregnant. So...yes, seriously. You want me to loose another kid?" She then shut up when I said that. "Of course not." I then went to close the door so I could yell up to Gabby. "HEY GABBY!" Gabby then heard me and went to call me on my phone using FaceTime.

"I told you, when you need to talk to me...call me on this." I nodded and agreed with her. "So listen, my sister is at the door with Violet. She might want to meet Louie. What are we doing? Are we trusting them or..." Gabby then bit her lip. "Open the garage. We can sit 6 feet apart. We have our camping stuff in there." I agreed and nodded. 

"Okay." I then went back to the door and popped my head out. "I am going to open the garage for you guys okay? We have to sit 6 feet apart. Sorry guys, but that's the only way you are going to get to meet Louie." Christie then sighed and nodded. "Of course. Can you open it?" I nodded. "The chairs are in the corner. I am going to go get the family, then we are going to come join you." They both agreed with me.

Closing the door, I went to lock up before going to open the garage so that Christie and Violet could get set up in there. Once that was done, I went to run upstairs so that I could get Gabby and Louie as well as help them downstairs where my sister could meet her new nephew.
