An Hour Later - CPD Headquarters Holding Cell
Matt's POV: As I sit in the CPD holding cell, I sigh as I get my only phone call. I just hoped that Gabby would bail me out. I mean, she has to admit that I am innocent in this situation. He provoked me. Hearing her pickup. "Hey." Gabby then sighed when I spoke. "You guys in the same cell?" I agreed. "Yeah. You want to talk to him first?" Gabby sighed. "Do you mind? I am going to yell at him a bit for being so stupid. You, I am going to save the yelling for tomorrow." I was confused when she said that. "What do you mean tomorrow? Aren't you on your way?"

Gabby sighed when I said that. "Matt, you really raised my blood pressure tonight. I think you need to serve a night in jail." I got scared when she said that. "Babe, I can't...think about the optics of me spending the night in jail on the same day I accepted the Chief position. Do you want them to change their minds?" Gabby sighed when I said that. "I already called Severide and Hermann. I also already spoke to the Commissioner. I told him what Antonio did and that you got arrested. I asked him to give you a break because you are still grieving."

I sighed when she said that. "Okay. So does that mean I am in trouble with you?" Gabby sighed when I said that. "Matt, can we not talk about this? I am still shocked that this even happened. I need to breathe babe. Can you promise me that you guys are going to play nice in there? I need to breathe so that I don't miscarry. You want these triplets right?" I then got scared when she said that. "Hey, of course I want the babies....I want all of them." Gabby agreed. "Yes, I know that. So tonight, you are going to stay there and talk this out with Antonio. Christie's here."

I sighed when she said that. "I understand Gabby. You know I never meant for this to happen right? I am so sorry. It's just...you know what comments like that does to me. To say that about me...and there of all places." Gabby understood my side. "Matt, I'm on your side okay? I understand what Hallie meant to you and I understand what it's like to have someone attack your dead best friend's character. I got the same way when people talked about Shay that way. Now listen, can I talk to my brother before the time is up? I will talk to you after."

I agreed and nodded when she said that. "Antonio, it's Gabby." Antonio then looked at me and went to grab the phone from me. "Thanks." Antonio then went to put it on his ear to start talking to Gabby. "Hey sis, you really leaving him in here tonight? Wait, is someone coming to bail me out?" That's when Antonio put it on speaker so we could both listen. "Nope, you are both staying in jail tonight. We agreed, me and Christie that you are both going to stay there and talk it out. You are brothers and we are a team...Antonio, I need you and my husband to get along."

Antonio sighed when she said that. "You're right and I did overstep." I nodded when he said that. "You think?" Gabby however didn't like that. "Matthew! You want to stay on the pullout couch tomorrow night or do you want back in our bed?" I shut up when he said that. "Sorry babe." Gabby then sighed when he said that. "Matt, you and him are going to talk it out. Meanwhile, I am going to take a night with Christie and have a movie night. I need to rest and you guys need to get along. I am so disappointed in both of you. And Matt, don't think this is done."

I understood when she said that. "Listen sis, I will talk to Matt tonight and I promise we will work this out. I just hope you can forgive me." Gabby then said something that concerned me. "Depends whether I make it past this stress okay. I will let you know in the morning whether I still have 3 kids. If something happens, then I am not going to be happy with you Antonio. And don't say anything...Matt was justified in defending himself. You attacked his character. If he loses his job because of this.....I don't think I will ever forgive you."

Antonio sighed when she said that. "Listen sis, you just take it easy and me and Matt will talk it out. I love you and I will see you tomorrow?" Gabby agreed when he said that. "I love you too Antonio. I love you too babe." I then agreed. "I love you too Gabby. Can you call your mom and make sure she doesn't bring Louie home until I'm back. He doesn't need to know about this. It might worry him." Gabby agreed with me when I said that. "Right, that's a great point. I will do that right after I hang up with you idiots. Goodnight babe and stay healthy." I agreed.

Gabby then went to hang up and I sighed while looking at Antonio. "Which bed do you want to take?" Antonio then looked at the beds. "You take the one over there. It's more comfortable." I nodded and agreed with him. "We are going to talk about it right?" Antonio nodded and agreed, ready to talk it out with me because that was what we needed to do. We needed to talk it out.
