Dawsey: Starting a Family Part 2

Chapter 276

30 Minutes Later - Halstead Apartment
Jay's POV - Part 1:
As I walk into the bathroom at home, I smiled when I saw Erin looking at her wedding ring while just wearing a really sexy bra and some shorts. Walking up behind her, I went to put my hands on her hips and kissed her shoulder. "Mrs. Halstead, you look absolutely stunning wearing this right now." Erin laughed when I said that before going to turn around in my arms. "You just want me in bed." I smiled when she said that before going to step close to her. Turning her around in my arms, I went to grab her hands and then intertwined our fingers. "Wife."

Erin smiled when I said that. "I wear, it still seems surreal that you are finally my husband." I nodded and agreed with her when I said that. I then went to put my hands on her stomach and brought her close to me as I went to kiss her softly. "You know that I am crazy in love with you right?" Erin smiled when I said that and nodded. "Oh, I know. Last time I checked...you went behind my dad's back and proposed to me without his blessing. Then, we get married at the courthouse without his blessing." I nodded when she said that. "You do crazy things for love."

That's when I heard Champ come into our bathroom. Turning my head to look down at him, I smiled and just held Erin close. I wasn't ready to let her go. I just wanted to hold her in my arms for a while. Not even Champ was going to stop me from holding my gorgeous wife in my arms right now. "You getting hungry?" Erin nodded when I said that. "Well, I can order us something either on one of those apps or we can order something from Molly's. Support our friends." Erin then looked at me. "Right, Matt and Gabby co-own the restaurant." I nodded and smiled at her.

"What are you craving right now? I mean, other than your husband in bed...." Erin laughed when I said that. Bending down to kiss her neck softly, I just held her close while concentrating on her for a while. "God, I love you so much." Erin smiled when I said that before going to turn my head. "I love you too. Now listen, as much as I want to be intimate with you...we need to get food ordered. I already have my iPad open on the bed." Grabbing my hand, Erin then went to lead me towards our bed so that we could get in together. "I am holding you all night just an FYI."

Erin smiled when I said that before turning around to look at me. "Believe me, I am not going to argue with that fact. I love the idea of my amazing husband just holding me in his strong arms." That's when Erin went to grab her phone and looked at a text she got from Hank.

'Congrats on getting married. Take a week off to celebrate your twins and getting married'

Erin's POV:
After reading the text I got from Hank, I was shocked. "Okay, can you read this for me and tell me if I am dreaming? Did he just tell us to take a week off?" Jay then went to grab my phone and looked at the text, nodding. "Yeah, he did." I smiled when he said that before going to cuddle up to him. "Can we say no? I know that we just got married but...I am not in the mood to really celebrate. Jay, I know we got married but...it's not a time to celebrate when people are dying." Jay nodded when I said that, kissing my forehead. "You prefer to work right now anyways."

I nodded when he said that. "Plus, I haven't worked at the CPD for very long yet." Jay agreed with me when I said that and then went to text Hank. 'Can we delay the week off  until the week of April 19th-25th?' I was confused when he said that. "April 19th?" Jay then looked at me. "Please don't tell me you forgot my birthday." I then thought about it. "The 24th?" Jay then laughed. "The 23rd." I nodded and agreed with him. "I am so sorry." I then went to look at my phone. 'Jay's birthday week. Okay. But at least take the rest of today.' We both agreed when he said that. 'Of course Hank, thanks. Now, we are celebrating our marriage.'

I then went to put my phone on silent before going to set it down on my charger. Rolling over on top of Jay, I smiled before going to grab his neck and kissing him softly before feeling his hands on my back as he held me close to him under the covers.

Jay's POV - Part 2:
Moving my hands to Erin's back, I smiled as I kissed her slowly while holding her in my arms for the first time since we got married. "God, being your husband just seems so right." Erin smiled when I said that and nodded. "I just hope that Hank doesn't say anything to anybody. I want this to be a secret between us and him for a while." I nodded when she said that before going to grab my phone. I then turned my head which left my neck fair game (and wide open for Erin to kiss). I just smiled when she did that because it was such a turn on. I then went to text Hank.

Jay: Can you please let us be the one to tell people we're married? -The Halsteads
Hank: Sure thing Mr. & Mrs. Halstead

Smiling when he said that, I then went to set my cell phone back down on the charger. Turning my head to kiss Erin again, I smiled as I held her close. "He told somebody didn't he?" I shook my head when she asked me that. "I just texted him to make sure he didn't tell anybody. He said and I quote 'Sure thing Mr. & Mrs. Halstead'" Erin smiled when I said that, going to kiss me slowly. "I love you Mr. Halstead." I smiled when she said that and went to say it too. "I love you too Mrs. Halstead." Just holding her on my chest, I smiled as we took it slow that afternoon.
