Chapter 26: California

Beep...beep...beep...UGH! I looked at my alarm clock and it said 6:45. I got up and grabbed an airhorn from my drawer. SSSQQUUUEEEAAAKKK!!!!! Melanie, Grayson, and Ethan shot up covering their ears. "Morning losers. Get up, today we're going to cali" i said going to the bathroom. "You couldn't just wake us up like a normal person" Ethan said rubbing his eyes. "Im not normal. It doesnt hurt to be different once in a while" i said. "And thats why your my best friend" Melanie said hugging me. We all got ready and the time said 7:15. "We only have an hour and 30 minutes to be at the airport" i said making breakfast. "How about after breakfast we all go long boarding" grayson said hugging me from behind. "Sure" ethan said. We all finished eating and it was 7:45. And yes...it takes me long to eat (dont judge). We all got our pennyboards and went on the board walk and sat on the beach. "How about we all take a group photo" i said jumping up. "Yea!!" Grayson said also jumping up. "Excuse me ma'am, can you take a picture of us" Ethan asked a woman. "Of course sweetie pie" the woman said. I was hugging me and Melanie were in the middle with grayson and ethan at the end. "1....2...and...3" the woman said. "Here ya go honey" she said and handed me my phone. Wait...i recognize that voice. "NURSE BROWN!!!" I said. "SHELLY!!" she said hugging me. "Its been a long time. How are you honey?" she said. "Im good, im good. How are you. How are things at the hospital" i asked her. "Well you know...very hard but overall everythings good" she said. "God morning grayson" she said hugging him. "Morning nurse brown" he said. "Where are you guys headed" she asked. "I actually got a phone call from California saying all four us were invited to go to vidcon" i said excitedly. "Congratulations!! I actually heard it over on the radio. I gotta get going honey, have fun and becareful" nurse brown said to me. "I will, nice running into you" i said. "Bye guys" she said. "Bye" we all said in unison. When we got to the hotel, it was about 8:30. We went back to my house and got all our bags ready at the door. "Im gonna miss you mom" i said hugging my mom. "Im gonna miss you too honey. Call me when you get to the airport and call me when you land. "I will" i said. "Im also gonna miss you too you little booger. Dont go through my room when im in cali" i said hugging emily. "I promise. Have fun. Bye guys" she said.
*skip to airport*
We got to the airport and it was 9:40. We only five more minutes. We just sat down in the waiting area until our flight was called. I called my mom and told her we were ok. "Flight to California is now arriving. Please check your bags" the announcer said. We got up and took our seats. I, of course, sat in the window seat while grayson sat in the aisle. Melanie and Ethan sat behind us. "Are you nervous?" Gray asked me. "A little. But I'll get over it" i said laying on his shoulder. Grayson put on his headphones and fell asleep. I decided to listen to First Flight Home by Jake Miller.
*skip flight*
Grayson woke me up saying "baby...we're here". I opened my eyes slowly and looked out the window. It was beautiful. The sun was shining so bright it made me smile. We exited the plane and looked for Jake. "Yo jake, where you at" grayson said on his phone. "Ok, i see you!" he said. "JAKEEYY!!!" ethan said and bro hugged him. "BROMIEOMIE!!!" Grayson said also bro hugging him. "Oh god, i missed you dudes" Jake said. "Jake, this is Shelly...the love of my life" gray said. "Very nice to meet Shelly" Jake said shaking my head. "Nice to neet you" i said with a smile. "And Jake, this is Melanie...the love of MY life" Ethan said. "Nice to meet you too" Melanie said shaking Jake's hand. "We should get going. The hotel is huge!!!" Jake said jumping up and down like a 5 year old. We all laughed and left the airport.
