Chapter 34: Blowing off some steam

After i watched the news saying my mom and sister died in a crash, the dolan twins, Melanie, cameron, lisa, sean, and grammie wanted to have a family dinner. I sat there and stared at my food. "Shell, you ok" cam said. "Huh, uh...yea" i said sad. "Uh...may i be excused" i said to lisa. "Of course honey, where are you going" she said. "Im just gonna go to the prank and blow off some steam and clear my mind" i said holding back tears. "Ok, well becareful" she said. I went upstairs and grabbed my bookbag. Inside was my sketchbooks, pencils, earphones, a bat (as shown above), my phone, my keys, my inhaler, my wallet and a sweater. I rode ny pennyboard to the park and just sat on the grass and drew what i saw. I blasted my music on high and listened to all the evanescence songs. I was that depressed. I just drawing the sunset with the trees infront of it. After i was done drawing, i grabbed the bat from my bag and started beating my tree (the tree i hit when im mad). While i was hitting the tree, i was listening to nirvana smells like teen spirit over and over again. I had it on replay. After i was out of breath, i grabbed my inhaler and used it. I started getting cold so i put on graysons sweater he gave me. It smelled just like him. I smiled a bit and went back to my drawing. I saw a tall figure sit next to me. It was sean. "Hey Shelly, what are you drawing" he asked me. "Uh...its a sunset with some trees infront of it" i said with a soft voice from screaming. "Its beautiful. You have an amazing talent. If you want, in our garage, i have a private room and i can turn that into an art studio for you" he said. "I would love that! Thank you so much!!" I saud hugging him. "No problem sweetie. Now answer me this question. Why are you out here all alone" sean asked me. "This is my area that i come to when im sad, mad, or depressed and i just blow off some steam by listening to music, drawing, or beating a tree with a bat" i said looking down. "Im so sorry for your loss. I get the pain your having. When i was younger...about your age, my mom died from cancer. I had no siblings so i always had to be there. Now look at me. I have a job, a beautiful family, and a beautiful home" sean said. "Little by little, you start to forget the past and start looking at the future" he said. I smiled and i knew what he was talking about. "You know what, your right. Thank you for this talk. Cant wait to see my art studio" i said kissing sean on the cheeks and riding off on my pennyboard. I got home and roamed the house. I stopped at emilys room and went inside. I grabbed pictures of her and grabbed her favorite doll. I went into my moms room and grabbed pictures of her as well. I went into my room and nade a collage of pictures of emily, my mom, and all of us together. I hung it up on my wall and smiled. A tear of joy fell down my cheek. There was a knock at my door and saw grayson holding a box. "Can i come in" he asked. "Uh...sure" i said confused. "Whats in the box" i said. He opened the box and pulled out all the things i love. "I wanted to make you happy si i asked Melanie what yiur favorite things are. So here you are" he said. I gasped and smiled. In the box were sour patch kids, red roses, my favorite movie breakfast club, a mini journal, a teddy bear, a photo album of me and grayson, a can of pepsi, fruit roll ups, hershey chocolate, fault in our stars book, red lipstick from loreal, nail polish, a word search, archie comics, a bracelet, earrings, and a necklace. I cried so much because i was happy. "Do you like it" he asked with a smile. "No" you said serious. His smiled went into a frown. "I LOVE IT!!!!" you say jumping into his arms. "I knew you would love it" he said whispering in my ear. The whole night, we just cuddled on my bed watching The Breakfast Club. We soon fell asleep. I fell asleep into the arms of a boy who cared very deeply about me and cared so much that he wont take no for an answer.
