Chapter 47: Labor

I am now 9 months pregnant. My stomach looks like a giant basketball. It looks like as if a basketball and a football had a baby. Pretty crazy, right. Grayson was in the living room with ethan while me and melanie were in the kitchen cooking dinner. As I was getting some plates, water came out of me. "MELANIE!" i yelled. "Oh my god! Grayson...Ethan! Shellys water just broke!!" she yelled. "Get in the car!!!" grayson yelled. Grayson drove like a maniac! We went inside the hospital and he put me in a wheelchair. "MY PREGNANT WIFE'S WATER JUST BROKE!!!" he yelled. "Calm down sir. Come with us" the doctor said. They layed me on a table. I had a gown on and my legs were opened. "Shes ready!" the doctor said to the nurses. "Shelly, just grab my hand okay baby" grayson said. I nodded while taking deep breaths. "Okay shelly. On a count of three, im gonna need you to push as hard as you can. 1...2...3...push!" the doctor said. I pushed as hard as i can while i squeezed graysons hand. "Good job shelly. 1...2...3...push!" she yelled again. I pushed so hard i almost fainted. "We have a head and a body!" she yelled. "ITS A BOY!" grayson said in excitement. I was so happy, i started to cry. "Do we have a name" doctor said. "Graythan Dolan" i said smiling. She handed me my baby boy. "Hey Graythan, im your mommy. And I'll love you no matter what" i said kissing his head. I handed my baby to Grayson. "Hey buddy, im your dad. If you opened your eyes, you would see how beautiful your mom is" he said. A tear escaped graysons eyes. I smiled. A couple hours later, Melanie, Ethan, Lisa, Sean, and Cameron came in. Then, my grandma came! "GRANDMA!"i yelled hugging her. "Hey baby girl! Its so good to see you! Wheres the baby" she asked me. Just then the nurse came in holding the baby. My grandma took hold of the baby. She was crying a bit. Happy tears came out. She handed Graythan to Lisa and Sean. Then Cameron. Then Ethan. "Im an uncle!" he said. Melanie took Graythan and said "im gonna be an aunt!" She gave the baby to grayson. "He's so tiny" he said. He kissed the Graythans forehead and gave him to me. "Excuse me, can you take a picture please" i asked the nurse. "Of course" the nurse said. I was in the hospital bed holding Graythan. Grayson was next to me with an arm around my shoulder. Melanie and ethan were on the other side of me. Lisa and sean were next to grayson and my grandma was next to ethan. When i saw the picture, i gasped at how beautiful it looks. This is my family. Our family. And im really happy.
