Told you so! - Ronaldo

Title: Told you so!
Prompt: I'd like a story about Cristiano Ronaldo, please! I have a plot you can use to write around: you come from a HUGE family and have always felt like the ugly duckling in your family. They tell you're not but you were always the weird one because you loved sports while all the other girls hated it, then you moved away from your home and family for work, after 3 years of not seeing them, you introduce them to your boyfriend, Cristiano, and they're all awed

"You're such an outcast"
"You need to dress like a lady"
"Leave the sports to guys"

The words echoed in your mind as you lay wide awake. It had been three years since you had seen your family and little did they know your soon to be husband was Ronaldo.

You adored sports and didn't like dressing up or wearing fancy jewelry. You hated how everyone made fun of you and called you names, said you wouldn't be successful.

Cris rolled onto his side, facing you, his eyes fluttering open, "Darling? Why are you awake?"

"I'm just nervous to see everyone" you whispered, tears rolling down your cheeks. Cris frowned, pulling you into his chest, gently stroking your hair, "Do not fret my love, you are more successful then you have ever imagined! Look at you, my football star" he pressed a kiss to your forehead, "They were wrong, and you followed your dreams no matter what they told you. That's whats important. You never gave up"

He rested his chin on top of your head, smiling as you nuzzled into the crook of his neck, "Please get some sleep, love."

The next day, you and your love made your way down to the beach, your family turning around in shock.

"My god, what a beautiful young woman" "Is that Ronaldo?" "I can't believe it- that ugly thing actually-"

Your mother stepped forwards, the only one who had truly supported you. She wrapped her arms around you in a tight embrace, "I am so proud of you my darling child- and look! You have a handsome boyfriend as well"

"Actually" You announced, Cris smiling brightly "We're getting married"
