Chapter 11

We became silent after that. My heart is happy. There was as if something was holding my heart—feels like home.

"But seriously," I chuckled. "Why are you here?"

"I already told you. I was worried so I came here."

I smiled and nodded.

"How about your contest? Panalo ba?"

"Of course," he arrogantly replied.

"You're so yabang!" I slapped his arm and laughed. "Edi ikaw na!"

"What about Kian?"

"He also won."

"That's nice! Grabe ang talino ninyo! Nag-aaral ba kayo palagi?"

I saw him frowned.

"Hindi."

"Eh?! Ang galing-galing mo! I bet nag-aaral ka palagi!"

"Hindi. Naglalaro din ako."

"Ng?"

"Video games."

"How about studying? Kailan ka nag-aaral? What's the best time for you to study?"

"When no one's pressuring you." he said.

"Huh?"

"Mas magandang mag-aral nang walang pressure sa iyo. You study because you want to. You study because you want to learn. That's the best way." He smiled.

"H-hindi rin naman ako nap-pressure at walang namp-pressure sa akin!" giit ko.

"Then that's good for you," he smirked. "Other students are pressured which made them doubt themselves. In the end, they don't enjoy studying."

"Why? Are you...? I mean... are you one of those students? Uhh... are you pressured?"

I heard him laughed softly and tapped my head. My face heated after that. Why did he do that?! Do I look like a child? Pambata lang iyan ah?!

"I told you, I am not pressured."

He let me finish my food first before we decided to go out of my room. Hanggang dito lang kami sa hallway ng hospital. Sa gilid ng hallway ang glass wall na tanaw ang siyudad maging ang kalangitan. Umupo kaming dalawa sa isang bench at tinanaw ang kalangitan.
