Prologue
"Lianna, are you ready?" I watched Mommy going downstairs. She is carrying her big suitcase. She is already dressed up too. Well, as well as me I am already dressed up; I am wearing a plain white t-shirt, and over it is a brown cardigan. I am also wearing a fitted jean, just a simple outfit. Not something extravagant and fashionista like I always wore whenever I am with friends.
"Yes, Mom." I smiled. I will definitely miss my friends here in New York. We will migrate in Philippines to where my Lolos and Lolas are. It is my first time to go there. I admit, I am anxious and at the same time sad. Anxious because of adjustments I'm going through in Philippines. What if I don't have friends there? What if they don't like me? I don't even know what their cultures are. Though I speak tagalog sometimes, so technically I can understand tagalog. I can speak too but not fluent. Just don't curse me.
I took a picture from the window here inside the plane. Wow, I am really above the clouds! That's so amazing! This is my first-time riding on a plane so yeah... I am really amazed. Will probably post this on my Instagram later.
After how many hours we are already landed here in the Philippines.
Hot. That's my first comment here. I frowned because I am not used to humid weather. I hate summer. I hate the sun... so much. I hate sweating. I frowned while waiting for them to put all our stuff inside the car. I will probably be the first one to enter the car. I covered using my hands the sunrays that hits on my face.
"Lianna, you go first." I pursed my lips and nodded. Ew, I am already sweating. I wipe my sweat as I adjusts the car's aircon. Mommy looked at me with a concerned face.
"Are you okay? You can adjust the aircon to its maximum." That's what I did earlier, Mom.
"Here's your inhaler." she handed me my inhaler, just in case. Though my breathing's fine, I still need it, just in case my asthma attacks.
Good thing they're already finished putting all our bags and suitcases. They all now entered the car. There are some unfamiliar faces to me.
"Ito na ba si Lianna? Laki na ah!" a guy from his mid-40s smiled to me. I smiled too.
"Opo, Manong. Ang laki na nga niya kaso sakitin naman." Mommy replied. I frowned because I understand her.
"Did I want it?" I pouted. Mommy chuckled. "That's why we wanted you to come with us here in Philippines. No one can take care of you there while we're away. Mas panatag ako kapag kasama ka namin." she said. Wait... what's panatag again?
Second comment, the heavy traffic is so much! It's so irritating! We were stuck in the middle of the road. I am starving too! Good thing Mommy ordered at McDonalds earlier.
Finally, after another 7 hours of travel, we're here at our new home...
I looked around and saw many tall trees. There are so many trees! Are we in the forest? Uhh no... I think this place is just like a garden or what. More likely this place is not a city...definitely. Unlike earlier, the place is cool and not hot. I love the weather... it's so refreshing. Hmmm. Not bad.
